How much better could this team be with Amendola?

Hey, I liked the show too. But let's get real. We have some pretty good receivers out there. And I might add most of them are well over 6ft tall. Amendola was a great feel good story and made the show good. Rudy, Rudy, Rudy!
Danny's got 2 inches on Welker, my man. Let's not sell his physical attributes short. Kind of like Zach Thomas - everyone assumes that because he's so smart and plays so intense that he's compensating for not being a good athlete - not true at all.

Danny has enough. Question is, does RJ have the stones to start him?

Edit: At least we could have Danny at PR. Give him a few opportunities per game at receiver to let his light shine.

Problem with Amendola is, he couldn't get opened against guys who were going to get cut during training camp, and he had plenty of opportunities. At best, he should stay on the PS, then show something next training camp.

Dynamic return man? I must have missed it; serviceable seemed to describe his preseason return stint.

What the team needs on ST is coverage; can he provide a boost there? We know he won't be playing in the secondary.

I wonder what superpunk thinks when all these people respond seriously to posts he makes in jest.

Good points. But in the NFL, marquee receivers are the bees knees. I wonder if he would make a good corner? It seems as if he could, but I don't know. Maybe pull a page out of Belichick's playbook. He is notorious for doing a whole lot with good players.

it's not like he got alot of chances. The chances he did get, though - I thought showed me some stuff.

What I think is that if you're not an Amendola fan - that's ok. Different strokes for different folks. But please don't rain on our parade.

A corner. lol. I don't know if you've noticed yet, but Amendola is caucasian.

A corner.

You are the epitome of just-too-muchery.

Before you even get into ONE PLAYER making the team better... you need to realize that THE TEAM is not performing. One player wont change that.

It has to be a CONCERTED EFFORT.

Let's be honest, though.

If this team still had Matt Moore, and we had brought Danny up off the PS, we would have beat the Rams by at least 20. The extra heart and inspiration they bring to the team is something that can't be measured on a stopwatch.

I know, I know. ;) Man I was tryin'! Just reachin' out there, ya know?

dont forget what did wade says about rookies, he hates to play them

so unless he has to he wont unless pressure is put on him to play rookies like he had to when austin got hurt and he had to play felix

next like someone posted here, amondola couldnt beat coverage at end of season, now im not down on amendola, give him another year, let him bulk up alittle, get a little stronger, faster and quicker, then let him play

besides i dont think wade will be here after this year anyway superbowl or not, i think its jason garrett's shot, but garrett had better start improving his offensive play calling

We would be exactly...no better. He wouldn't produce anymore than Miles Austin has. Are you taking Austins snaps away to give them to Danny?

you funny!

sure, activate him if he can rush the passer or cover a receiver.

I don't hate Danny. I actually think he's a good guy. Tell me whose spot he's taking in that offense in order to play in the slot? You taking Miles Austin off the field? Crayton? Williams? TO? I'm curious as to who you're taking out of the formations to put him in on that you honestly think he's going to produce better than.

And unless he is suddenly a pass rushing specialist, or a lock down corner, then he's not helping this team much at all, either way.

tbh, I would probably take TO out in multi-receiver sets. He is having difficulty beating the jam, and Danny's precision would really pay off, there. Plus, it adds a measure of unpredictability - "What? TO's off the field? Who will they pass to?" Noone could possibly know. Or for now, Roy E. He doesn't know the offense anyway.

Let's stay on topic and cover one issue at a time, man. I'm not a machine!

And a *****.
This offense needs SOMETHING. And that something could be Danny Amendola beating the jam for 6.

Lets not forget that he is a dynamic return man. Do we really want FC Crayton back there for the rest of the season?

This guy wants it.
Is that what this team is missing? WOW! Who would have thought? To bad Pacrat is gone! He was a HUGE **** HEAD!!!!
