How much cap space do we have left?

We do seem to be motivated about comp picks 12 months down the road most off-seasons. Makes sense.
I mean, it it's a choice between getting the 3rd rounder we'll be owed for losing Byron and not getting the 3rd rounder, I'll take the 3rd rounder.

Enough to sign dak, a bit of below average players in fa and the guys they draft.

The team is down 5 defensive "starters" a the moment:

DE - Quinn
DT - Collins
LB - Lee (likely re-signing)
S - Heath
CB - Jones

Ideally you need to fill at least 3 of those spots in FA. And not the bargain basement variety. A lot of work to be done.

I see us bringing Quinn and Lee back. Quinn for around 10-12 and Lee will get a friendly deal of 2-4 million.

That leaves DT, S and CB.

We likely get a safety as well

Which is why I think they should go after the recently cut guys. Snacks and or Joseph at DT, for example. Older, but still an upgrade but won't affect the comp pick formula. Unless the new CBA deleted that provision.

Snacks already lives in Dallas. Easy transition
