How much if any input will our HC have in hiring our new DC?

Jerry's guy last offseason was Eberflus, and we all see how that turned out. Jerry allowed our HC to put a staff together, so will he step back this year, humble himself and allow our HC to pick the guy he wants??? Has our HC shown enough to Jerry to let Jerry feel that it can be handled without the brilliance of Jerry???

I think Jerry needs to take a long vacation until our HC picks a DC, and Jerry comes back with a fresh mind, and will be ready to allow that DC to shop for the groceries needed to get this defense to at least be respectable! Please give your thoughts

What head coach with any self-respect would come to the Cowboys?
Who would put their reputation on the line without having control of who you fire and who you can hire?
That’s the dilemma we have here
Me, I would like a new young startup that hasn’t been scrutinized before,
 
Hey coach, what is his duties?
Field management
Calling the defensive or offensive plays
Hiring firing staff
Locker room camaraderie
We had so much young talent offensive coordinator’s defensive coordinator’s head coaches
But they never seem to work together, as one, that’s because of you know who,
Just like your offense or defensive line, it has to work smoothly as one
It takes in an entire organization to win a championship, and we just don’t have that under Jerry Jones foot

The fact that Eberflus is gone is an indicator.
 
He will have absolutely no effect on the hiring process or the decision on who it will be.

You know this. Everybody knows this.

It's already pretty apparent, the wide net they threw, that some of these names are definitely keeping BS in mind..

I feel like he has a very strong influence this time around, because Jerry sees his failure, but that doesn't mean some of these other names Jerry's not throwing in there, but a lot of these names coming up have some ties whether it's 6 degrees of separation or not to Brian Schottenheimer...

which, by the way, is a lot bigger than people thought it may be, this first time head coach but he's been in this league a long time since following his dad around, But he's been on a lot of teams, some really good ones, he's got a long reach when it comes to name,s that would be interested in working with him, believe it or not, a lot more influence than most would believe as far as how the NFL perceives Brian Schottenheimer,

regardless of our own fan base...
 
This should be a poll even though no one could accurately provide a % without working in the inner circle, but that last press conference with the Venezuela comment said it all. I'd say Schott's input is worth about 15-20% towards deciding who is chosen as the new DC.

You actually think the Head Coach had any impact at all in making the decision?

How are you coming to that conclusion based off of anything that’s happened with this franchise over the last 30 years?

Not just that gone quickly as a matter of fact it was done on Monday they just didn't release it until Tuesday morning so when Black Monday came and he was gone right away we know that Brian has a little bit of influence who knows how much I believe the names being thrown out especially the outside the box guys are definitely Schottenheimer but in the end the final decision will always be made by an owner or GM so that's not new I realized the Cowboys the little hard to fathom but they did allow him to hire his entire offensive coaching staff and I believe Jerry sees the error in his ways and will allow him to have bigger input..

Yes, do you recall Jerry saying it would take 10 to 12 days and then something changed???
