Does it matter, it's expensive no matter where you go. BTW, it's $3 here in Fort Worth, Texas. This is just ridicuous.

$3.45- Washington DC N.W.

WOW that sounds like gouging.

I know there are variations from place to place but that seems WAY over the top.

It has moved around $2.85 in our area and then in one day it was $2.95, dropped to $2.92 and the very next day back up to $2.95 and has held there for the last week.

I always keep an eye on these things and notice they will have one price standard for a little while and then there will be large spikes for a time. Then they start dropping again to keep people from complaining too much and happy that it dropped. However if you pay attention even after it drops it is always around a 5 to 10 cent raise of what it was before the spikes.

Kind of like a store raising prices before the holidays and then putting an ad out for x% off making the consumer think they are getting a great deal when in reality they had raised the prices previously and then take away from that raise only so the consumer will be paying the same, or in some cases more even though the consumer thinks they are getting it cheaper.

One last thing to consider. Summer is around the bend and gas almost always goes up because the gas companies know people will be traveling on vacations. So whatever the price is now expect it to go higher in the coming months due to summer vacations.
