Anybody want to estimate what Jason Hatcher, a 32 year old DT playing his best ball is worth?

no telling really. Id like to hear some educated guesses too.

I dont think that Dallas will be able to bring him back but he played pretty good in 2012 and really good this year. I wish him the best and hope he gets paid like a boss and wrecks some other teams salary cap.

Him playing in the Pro Bowl helps.

Even then, I'm not so sure we could get a 4th for him.

This is a good question. Who knows, I could see a 4 year/20mm type deal, knowing he'll be cut before the 4th yeah.

Hatch is a good player...too bad he flashed in his final year (and a losing one). He'll get his money from someone, but for me he has been solid but not spectacular and he's on the wrong side of 30 to go nuts with. This team won't be able to compete with others when the offers come...and apparently they had little or no interest in keeping the guy to begin with or he would have been extended. Probably at his pinnacle this past season.

Yes, playing in the Pro Bowl helps but any half-witted GM would understand that a 32-year-old DT has a very limited shelf life. I think he maybe gets a two-year offer for $7 mil a year.

I hope he gets a huge offer from somebody. Something way bigger than the Cowboys would pay.

The days of signing non-QB players over 30 to multiple year contracts should be over for the Cowboys.

I predict his best season in his career will be the one he just had. Good luck to him. He'll probably get over 5 mill, 15 guaranteed over 4 years, cutting him after 3. Something like that. Too much for us!

He (Hatcher) won't get as much as he thinks he will.

I was surprised last year how much less defensive linemen were getting as compared to previous years.

Interesting bench mark.

He's 32, same as Ware but with far more injury history and less production.
But he's also clearly a great 3T right now.

Could see him get a 4 year 24m deal with 14(total from first two seasons) guaranteed.
10m SB, yr 1 1m, yr 2 3M, yr 3 5m, yr 5m.

more than we can go given his age but a very fair deal for his potential the next two or three seasons.

would be hilarious to see him sign with seattle.
