How much stock do you put in TC reports?

Last year Byron Jones was at least a Cowboys MVP, now this year, he is battling for starting time, I still consider a nickel corner if he plays that as a starter, so it's pretty much just hoopla.

Would like to see the Venn diagram of posters who say they put zero stock in training camp reports that have at some point called a player a bust based on training camp reports.

TC reports often are reflective of a particular point in time - a particular drill or play within a drill - or general impressions. They are not definitive insights, and people shouldn’t read too much into them.

I don't put much stock in training camp nor pre-season games. I have seen the Cowboys go lights out in pre-season and stink it up when the lights come on. I have seen them play as poorly as any team ever, and then when the first game of the season comes around they look like they are Super Bowl headed.

Surely reporters texting snippets and bits is a microcosm of what truly is going on. And even then, the competition in real games will not be like training camp, nor pre-season games.

I find after almost 58 years of being a fan of this team, my blood pressure doesn't elevate until that first kick-off of the first regular season game.
