How much will a Cowboys victory mean to you?

For me, it will be HUGE.

1. It's been something like 11 years since we've won a Playoff game.

That's just too long for a storied franchise like the Cowboys.

2. I'll be especially happy for Wade Phillips, maybe more than anyone else on the franchise.

Wade hadn't been able to get a HC job after Buffalo, partly due to him not being able to win in the Playoffs. And the press really hounds him on that in their articles, etc. He just seems like a good guy, and I think he's a very good coach. I'd really like to see him win.

3. If we win, I think it will also take some of the pressure off Romo and boost his confidence even more.

Romo is a young QB in terms of actual playing experience, and if he can win in the playoffs this quickly, it can only help him next year on out. Plus, it will be a sort of redemption for him after Seattle.

4. A playoff win will be huge for momentum going into the off-season. We don't have many holes on the roster, and most of the key guys are locked up for 2008. Plus, it may be easier in some cases to attract FAs if they think they are legitimate contenders to win a Super Bowl ring. (Not all FAs think like that I'm sure, but I think some do.)

They are the #1 Seed. They have beaten their opponent by double digits each time they have played. I will be going into Sunday expecting them to win.

I think the better question is "How much will a Cowboys loss mean to you".

I moved away from all of my family and friends so that I could be a season ticket holder and live in the community where it is all cowboys all the time.

The one thing I have thought of from day one, was a home playoff game, I want to go to a home playoff game.

Now its here. 5 years alot of ups and downs and it is now here.

Much like jerry I wont sleep much saturday and I will be pretty wound up on sunday morning. I cant even measure how much I want us to win.

I am almost done with a video with that kind of theme. Hopefully I will get it done by friday.

For me, a win Sunday is the difference between the season being a success or a failure. That may not be the case for others, but it is for me.

It was great seeing my team march to a 13-3 regular season record and exceed my expectations but I think they need at least one playoff win to consider it a successful season.

If they win, Phillips will get the playoff monkey off his back.

If they win, the franchise will erase their long plyoff drought.

If they win, all of the late-season criticisms and concerns will go away.

If they win, I think they'll have the confidence to move on and have great success the rest of the way.

But.....

If they lose, Wade will still be seen as a coach who can't win a big game.

If they lose, manyof the late-season criticisms will be validated and there will be plenty of offseason questions and finger-pointing.

If they lose, the playoff drought stays intact and continues to hang around the team's neck.

If they lose, the team's confidence will be severely shaken going into the offseason.

If they lose, tough decisions may have to be made about the team's coaching staff. Specifically a decision on keeping Garrett or Phillips.

For me, a victory means everything.

I can't even watch Cowboys games with other people in the TV area.

It really pisses me off when they start talking during the game.

For this playoff game, I'm definitely going to have to get the wife and kids occupied doing something else.

I swear I lose weight watching Cowboys' games . . . .

Yes, this sums it up very well.

This win would be our most important in about a decade.

That's a long time for most fans.

I am in Maryland and would be glad to join in. I try not to let a simple thing like a game bother me....but this is a must win game, I cannot begin to think of the torture if Dallas is one and done and its to the Ny freakin Giants.

It is hard to think of what a victory would mean because I can't stop thinking about what a loss would mean.

I hope we win so the idiot Steeler fan in our office will shut his trap.

All I hear from him is how superior Roethlisberger is to Romo..... :puke:

He's a delusional idiot!

You too huh? I can't stand watching the game with others. I enjoy watching it by myself too. Can't stand them saying things that they don't know about.

Since Michael Irvin made a crucial first down on the Eagles playoff game back in the day. I told myself I will never doubt the Cowboys again. Even if they are down by 30 pts. That game was one of my most exciting, pumped up game ever. I was on a high the rest of the day :)

Well, I'm fairly young, so when we were 'winning' I was only a kid and really didn't appreciate our success. This will be the first playoff win I have seen since I was 6/7. I had a dream earlier in the season that would win...

I hope your dreams are more prophetic than the Magic 8 ball (sorry, Dave).

Let's GO COWBOYS!!

I wasn't devistated by the loss to Seattle last year given the way we had been playing.

It's was like watching a broken down mule limping around. I was thinking just shoot him and get it over with......:bang2:

All I can say is, you have no idea how much it will mean. I've been a diehard Cowboy fan for over 35 years. Most have been very, very good years. However, as we all know, the last 8 or 9 have been pretty dreary. We HAVE to win this game and the NFC Championship game. If we don't, my year will be ruined. Sad I know.

Are you kidding. :D When the cowboys didn't go to the super bowl in 1994 that like ruined my whole year. :D This game should mean a lot to any true Cowboys fan. :D
