How much will this impact Dak's urgency? Jerry's?

oh look, someone with 98 messages but is familiar with users? Who were you last month?
Haha .. fair but no reincarnation … the comment you quoted was in regards to a message last night where clown car was confused about math in failed attempts to show me how Daks deal was more roster friendly than Mahomes’ .. but the. further showed off his genius by telling me to get my frontal lope checked even though it’s the parietal lobe that handles math calculations.

I did lurk for awhile before getting bored after being laid up for surgery and jumping in. I posted a bit last season too.

Except Dak is more concerned about the QB brotherhood than the Dallas Cowboy brotherhood.

Pat Mahomes swallowed it for the KC brotherhood and has the hardware to show. Brady did too, in NE and Tampa.
The problem with swallowing it for the brotherhood is it doesn't matter if Dak gets 60 mil a season or 10 mil a season. He is just not good enough to win in the playoffs against good teams. Cowboys need to move on from him.

10 years = 45m aav. Contract has 6 years left so saved them about 20-25m so far and that will only increase from here on out.

Imagine what an extra 20-25m bought them last 2 years roster wise … Figure QB aav rises ~5m or so every season that another 15m 2025, 20m 2026, 25m 2027, 30m 2028, 35m 2029, 40m 2030, 45m 2031. … that’s some pretty shiny roster pieces.

Mahomes could easily command 65-67m on given Dak expects 60. Mahomes has the hardware and skins on the wall. He’s swallowing 20+ million a year easy and not just that but he sets the example leading from the front with this mindset … same thing Brady did … so yah.

He has the highest cash flow of any player over the next 36 months. Additional monies become guaranteed over the course of his contract. When he retires no player will have been paid more than Mahomes. He is more than satisfied with his compensation.

NFL contracts are not necessarily about who is best. It is about timing and availability as much as anything else. If Jerry Jones had a better option than Dak Prescott he would not even take phone calls from Todd France. Most teams assess their needs and then address them. The Dallas Cowboys need a new starting quarterback. They should go find one.

when Mahomes signed his k, he was highest paid by a lot. If he took that average NOW, he would leaving money behind, he wasn't when he signed it.

You’re moving the goal posts to “when he signed it” away from “he swallowed one for the team taking 450m” His 10 year deal was and remains absolutely unheard of, so while he was deservedly the highest paid aav QB at signing, everyone including Mahomes understood he’d be swallowing well over 100 million for the benefit of the team over 10 years.

So your comment is moot. He swallowed a lot to give his team a ton of flexibility to chase Lombardis instead of maxing his bag.

Unless I missed Jerry’s big headline stealer … Dak is still not extended

How much does this change Dak’s mindset?

Jerry always had this leverage most of the stans wanted to ignore, however it just multiplied 10x, probably more.

Jerry should pull any offers on the table, reevaluate Monday.

I heard a roach farted in New York city.......... I wonder how that will affect Dak's contract negotiations

Clearly you’ve never negotiated a contract for services. Jerry has all the leverage. His team, his money, his pen. If Dak wants to be a Dallas Cowboy, it’s going to have to be at a price Jerry is ok with. The longer Dak plays without an extension the more injury risk he assumes. He’s 5 years older and exiting his prime with more years of failure on his resume, so using your argument is silly.

Jerry has known the price to get a deal done since minute one. That hasn’t happened and that should tell you who has the leverage. If Dak doesn’t want to agree to Jerry’s price he can enjoy next year in LV or Carolina, and if he gets injured he may end up there for less than Jerry offered today. Ask Lev Bell how fighting for a couple million AAV cost him his career and 25-35 million or more, as just one example. Dak is an idiot if 55 for 4 years was on the table and he turned it down.

As Chris Rock would explain … this is the reason Dak rich and Jerry is wealthy. When Dak sucks in Carolina, Lowes won’t even have him trying to sell the toilets he swirls bc he’ll be that irrelevant + whatever other endorsements dry up.
I’m sure you’ve negotiated lots of contracts but when a player knows he’s getting paid by you are your competitors, and he knows you have no one ready to replace him then you have no leverage
