After may 12th we can sign free agents that won’t affect 2020 draft compensation picks. I believe that’s why some of the better free agents available still are ultimately available.

If we were to sign Eric berry and suh or somehow get Gerald McCoy that would be huge splashes on one year deals going into the draft. Imagine going into the draft without really any weaknesses. We could likely go bpa the whole draft.

Still could package La’el Collins, taco and a pick to move up in the draft. La’el could be a nice addition to most teams in the league and we could slide Fleming into the right tackle spot.

I would still like to sign tj Yeldon as he is the perfect compliment back to zeke. Can do everything a back needs out of the backfield.

With the money saved in the Demarcus Lawerence deal we could likely sign all 3, Yeldon, berry and suh on one year deals and make a hellacous run this season under Garret’s last year. If he can’t win with all of this it’s time to move. I support garret bc I believe he is actually more than some think behind the scenes and he has built a nice team

La’el is a pretty good player and still really young. He’s only had 4 holding calls in his career to this point also, we can’t afford him after this season so why not send him to get higher in the draft. We paid Fleming like a player that starts rather than sits on the pine. Stay tuned to that situation

You can’t pay all our top players and pay everyone across offensive line major deals. It’s either pay all linemen and let zeke walk or plug and play the left guard and right tackle and keep zeke around imo

La’el isn’t spectacular but pff rated him number 31 out of 64 starting tackles this past season. Means he was likely better than some left tackles grade wise. There’s definitely a market for a young offensive tackle in this league. That’s a marquee position.

I still don't get why we would want Berry. Of his 9 seasons he's played he hasn't played more than 6 games in 4 of them and only 3 total games the past two years. No thanks

Taco is a bum, I got more faith in randy Gregory than this guy. La’el is like a 9-11mil cap hit this year. We won’t be able to pay him after this year he will get a huge deal elsewhere

If he goes we have no depth
He will play out and hopefully get 20 mil a year contract

Taco is going into his 3rd year. Go back and look at all the post after DLaw was drafted and a few year ongoing after that. Many hated him, and was basically acting that way as they do now about Taco.
How about we see how he does this year.

Bringing in all those guys you mentioned does not mean success. Though Suh could help, but not for what he wants at thos time.
I don’t get concerned with the cap from year to year, just field the best team now. The cap will work it self out.

I am with you about Garrett.

But not sure how it would look to these other guys we have to resign.

Also, are you aware that we have something like 30+ players unsigned for 2020?

Those guys are going to need money also.

You can not roll the dice like that.

I do think we could still sign a couple of more FAs on 1 year deals but it will be at deep discounts if we sign them.
