How should the Cowboys pick their captains?

Who was the HC that had different captains every week?

Also at one time I think they let the players decide.

But I say for now. Not sure how many they actually will have.

Offense:
Dak, CeeDee or Ferguson or all 3.

Defense:
Q. Williams, Gary. Eventually Downs, but let him get some skins on the wall first.

Then where'd this comes from, I'll I agree, not much different with teams and the way fans look at them is love hate relationship at times

If Jerry Jones can be the face of the Dallas Cowboys franchise, CZ can certainly have Coogs as its face.

have the players vote. everyone gets 3 votes

for an offensive player, a defensive player and a guy that primarily is a special teams guy.

those are your 3 captains for the season.

And that’s how it should be. The players pick their leaders

Or..... as soon as ESPN says something good about the Cowboys after wins, people here try to down play it as if we didn't play anybody, or the other team was injured, or its just regular season, etc.

With that said, captains should be chosen by the players with the best overall production.

Coach should pick captains....they look for intangibles not just production. Leadership and loyalty from his teammates are the most important ones. IMO

• Six year long captains
  • Three rotating weekly captains under McCarthy. (Offense, Defense, Special teams)
• Players vote in training camp
  • Selected by head coach under McCarthy
• C Patch returned
  • McCarthy had eliminated patches
• One weekly rotating captain selected by coaches
  • Excellent practice week
  • Excellent film study/class week
  • Recognize role players and non starters

Should the Cowboys go about selecting their captains based on our face of the franchise players, or players who are selected because they're a superstar on this team? Or should this team go about picking captains on a weekly basis?? For example, a player has had a great practice, or made a great special teams play. Should that player be a captain for next weeks game???


I think it would be interesting to see how the coaches and maybe with the players input on how they select captains if it were done on a weekly basis. Please give your input!!!!


P.S. Hope everyone's summer is well, and everyone's family is well, but with that said, FOOTBALL is back!!!!!!
