I know I've seen people post short embedded videos on this forum but I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me.

I know on most sources (youtube, dailymotion, etc.) there is an "embedded link" usually located below the video. That is what you want to copy and paste to directly display the video you are trying to show instead of the link presented on the top of your browser. GIFs usually can be just copied and pasted like pics; gloss over area with your mouse, copy, paste.

The old fashioned way...

Find an image you like
Make sure it is already on the web somewhere...you can not post an image to the forums that is just stored on your computer. The image needs to be stored on the internet somwehere with an address.

If you have an image on your computer you can upload and store it to a site like ***BLOCKED*** or imageshack

Once on one of those sites, find the images address

Here is an address for an image
http://i18.***BLOCKED***/albums/b133/BrAinPaiNt/elf_zpse69ace47.gif

You should be able to click on that image and it will load that image on a separate browser tab

Now you need to use tags around the image address to make it appear in a post on the forum

The tags for the images on this forum are
Code:
[img]this is the opening tag
insert image address here
Code:
[/img]this is the closing tag
The opening and closing tag needs to be wrapped around the image address

example
Code:
[img]http://i18.***BLOCKED***/albums/b133/BrAinPaiNt/elf_zpse69ace47.gif[/img]

So when you post it it will show up like...

http://i18.***BLOCKED***/albums/b133/BrAinPaiNt/elf_zpse69ace47.gif

Thanks everyone....apparently the gif's that draftbreakdown.com let you create from their videos won't embed here for some reason is what I'm figuring out. This is an example of an embeded gif code they give you and I can't figure out how to get it to work.

<iframe width="675" height="550" src="http://www.draftbreakdown.com/gif-embed/?clip=254938&gif=ThatSarcasticAphid" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

That was more difficult than most. I had to go into inspect element tool so I could see the whole programming for the whole page and look through the programming codes until I found the gif to copy the address.

Probably not something most would want to do just for that animated gif.
