The Cowboys have been a mess over the years. Jerry trying his best to get one more super bowl out of the aging dynasty in the 90's and robbing from the future to do it along with poor planning. Since those times we've been predominantly a mess. Sure Parcells saved the team from the depths of NFL abyss with the likes of the Raiders and Jags. But outside of unearthing one Tony Romo, his team reached it's peak under the more lax Wade Phillips, while on game day during 2007 the more lax atmosphere and more chancy playcalling the team looked poised to be a championship team. But the culture started to slip, things just weren't right, and you could see it in their inconsistencies until they bottomed out in 2010. I was really happy with last years success, and while that in itself leads to quite a bit of optimism, watching that press conference of our newest UDFA, something really stood out. The leadership of this team was fundamental in courting Collins. Some of those guys are barely more than kids, especially those guys on the line. I'm just floored by the guy really. The fact that a guy like this who could go anywhere he wanted to go, but thinks that this group of guys is what gives him a chance to be his best, just reinforced what a strong and powerful culture is here right now. Something special is brewing here in Dallas.

You said it !!! It's a good time to be a Dallas Cowboy !!!! People want to be part of the team. Last year we took things to a new level we had not seen in years and people see that and want to be part of the Cowboys. Now the Cowboys have to take it to another level and win the Super Bowl. Go Cowboys!!! P.S. It is also a good time to be a Cowboy Fan !!!!!!

I would have been okay if Collins signed somewhere else, I was just happy to see that the front office put in their full efforts on this one. Too many times I think we've been stuck on the sideline watching other teams getting better.

When I heard Jerry was getting very involved and that the players had been there too, I was pleased. When I saw that he signed I was ecstatic.
