I'm going into this game like I did in the 1992 championship game. Hoping the Cowboys can keep it close and pull it out in the end. People forget, Dallas opened as 6 point dogs. That's a lot of points to give a 13-3 team back in the 90s.

Blitz is fairly easy to pick up if you send them regularly.....there is a time for that. Confuse the rook with front 7 stunts, control the edge and cover the RB out of the backfield.
Im not talking just straight blitzing 7-8, I mean blitz a lber and saftey and drop an end or DT back into coverage. Show this kid anything and everything but make sure you are always sending at least 5 guys on every down.

As a Niner fan the key is not let Nick Bosa beat you. That's the key on offense. If Bosa is not getting pressure the team is not getting pressure and you can take advantage of the secondary. If Bosa dominates the defense dominates. So Cowboys should be double teaming him all game, chipping him, running away from him. Force the other guys on that Dline to beat you.

I think we have someone up for the challenge and I would run it right behind 77 to wear him down a little too.

McCaffrey and Samuel are the keys to the game. Take them away and watch Purdy suck. I am sorry the guy is a smallish 7th rounder that has had it all his way. Take away his toys and punish him at every opportunity.
Easier said than done, but if this defense can take away McCaffrey and Samuel then we win this game.
No easy task, either can take it to the house on a quick dump off.

Zone blitzing is going to get you killed against a Shanahan offense. Blitzing works when you can attack a spot. The Shanahan offense is all about making that pay with moving the pocket, screens, and counters. They run the stretch and you blitz from the wrong gap then you have a huge cutback lane. Blitzing makes RPO reads easy.

I appreciate the aggressiveness but what we need is the DT to hold the POA and eliminate those cutback lanes. We need our edges to contain so all those stretches screens and counters are funneled back inside for LVE, Kearse and Wilson. Blitzing is playing into their game.

Also don't try running to the outside. Their linebackers are way too fast. Greenlaw ran down Tyreek Hill earlier this season when they gave him the ball behind the line of scrimmage.

They have three play makers who are great after the catch: McCaffrey, Deebo, and Kittle. Too many to double team. Take your chances rushing four and dropping seven. Above all else, tackle well to minimize gains. If I had to pick one who I would absolutely not let bet us, it's McCaffrey.

Blitz the living hell out of them and do so with Micah as a stand up LBer. Blitz the corners, blitz the safeties, blitz, blitz, blitz. San Fran has amazing offensive minded coaches but a lot of their plays and designs take time with a ton of play action. Blitzing disrupts play action and not 1 QB in the entire history of the NFL has every been a fan of corner and safety blitzes. We can do this, we can win this game but it will depend on how aggressive Quinn and this defense are. We will see.
D-Line pressure and a duplicate game Prescot had against the Bucks should send them to the championship game, anything less then the Boys are going to have issues closing out the 9ers.

I would throw everything I've got against the rookie QB. He is their weakest link, even if he hasn't been exposed yet, and he happens to play the most important position on the team. It's the simplest solution. Blitz him, confuse him, hit him hard when you get the chance, talk trash... Pull out all the tricks to throw a rookie off his game. Basically, what we just did to Brady, the greatest QB in NFL history

Just like last game, Gallup's involvement early on can loosen up the defense for everyone else on the offense. You can also loosen them up with Hilton the same way...But I think Gallup is the guy to make them second guess their coverages, assignments.

Purdy being a rookie definitely has the potential to be a plus for Dallas. I hope you're onto something here, and we're able to throw him off his game because he's been solid since he became the starter.

Cowboys are 13th in defensive blitz percentage. I'd stick to what you've been doing; making drastic changes late in the year might lead to mistakes. I'd just give them a combination of looks. Play some coverage and bring pressure when the metrics say to do so.

How to beat the 49ers offense-not Purdy. What you do for starters is be physical-very physical against the run. Put pressure on Purdy. This means sacking him early and often. Then once you do that hopefully ghost will start getting in his head- making him throw to soon. Biggest problem is their running backs. We can't let them run on 1st down and get 5 or more yards. I always say we get a great dak and a great defense-we win! As of now I 'll say it won't be easy but for me a 10 point win would not surprise me. Dallas winning of course.

First of all, you don’t beat one player. But what you do do, stop them from running game over. They should be more worried about how to stop us. 49ers LMAO.

He is not a slow processor at all which is why he has had such success. He is a spitting image of Romo with great pocket awareness, ability to make guys miss while still looking down the field and being able to make throws. Much like Romo though the negative plays can come.

He didn’t look too good in last weeks first half. Didn’t actually look much better in the second half.
