They played collegiate football and then became graduate assistances and then worked as an assistant coach on some level. Then they built up enough experience and let it be known that they were looking to be a scout and when a position opened up, they were able to get it. One of them got out of scouting because he decided he wanted to be a coach again. The other is still in scouting, but is looking to work for the front office of some NFL team.
