How to keep Subscribed threads longer

Is there a way to keep a thread you have posted in, to last longer in the user cp section?

I love to click that section and see how people followed up in threads, but they seem to disappear rather quickly.

What causes that to happen? It seems that once I click the thread, unless I post again it will disappear or something.

Any help?
