First you have to upload the image somewhere else like Facebook or Photobucket. Then copy the image address, click on the image tab in the posting box, and paste the image address. If you use the "more options" tab for posting you can preview your post to see if the pic is there. I assume the reason that just uploading a picture is not available is due to storage space for the site??

It's easy to do. First, you must choose an image hosting site to upload your pics and vids. There are many sites to choose from, such as Photobucket, Google Photos, Imgur, etc. For assistance's sake, I'll use Photobucket as an example. After creating a Photobucket account:

  • Click "Upload"
  • Click "Choose Photos & Videos"
  • Select the pics and vids at the location saved on your computer, cellphone, etc.
  • Click the thumbnail images of the uploaded pics and vids at the bottom of the screen or choose them from The Library
  • Click the Direct link displayed either to the right or below the uploaded pic/vid. Photobucket automatically copies the link.
CowboysZone has a great tool for adding pics and vids to posts. Locate the toolbar located directly above the text block where you create posts:

Scan for this section of the toolbar

After clicking Image for pics, paste the Direct link copied from Photobucket into this dialog box:

These are also good sites for uploading vids but I'll use YouTube as an example. After creating a YouTube account:

  • Click "Upload"
  • Click "Select Files To Upload"
  • Select the pics and vids at the location saved on your computer, cellphone, etc.
  • Click "Publish" to activate (e.g. make it live) the video
  • Copy the link that appears under Share.
Returning to CowboysZone, click Media on the toolbar and paste the YouTube link in its dialog box:

Click either Insert or Embed shown on either dialog box for each pic or vid that you would include with your post and click Reply or Reply to thread. You're done. :)

That's likely the answer but I'll defer to @Reality for the confirmation. :p

@DallasEast, that was an excellent, helpful reply on how to post pics and vids...I'm sure members will appreciate it. It took me a bit to figure it out the first time I posted a picture.

Thanks. I wanted to emphasize the site tools instead of using BB code this once because even simple innocent mistakes like an unintentional space here or a wrong bracket there causes headaches sometimes. Once, I accidentally bolded the end bracket of a quote code, like

[quote]Test[/quote].

I kept previewing the post for about 15 minutes but it never produced a quote box each time. I pulled out all my hair in frustration, which was bad since I keep my head shaven. My eyes saw the bold end bracket finally. I changed it and viola!
I think I woke up my neighbors yelling in disgust.:facepalm:
