I have but that has nothing to do with my comment

The schedule doesn't have anything to do with your comment about the schedule?

The top teams aren't on the top because they've had an easier schedule to this point. And, outside of the GB game yesterday, the only games played by anyone in the division against an opponent that was based on where they finished were games played by NY.

That's right, the future schedule has nothing to do with my comment about the current records and correlation with how the schedule is made.

Wash and Philly are both much better than Dallas right now because they're good at offense and defense. Wash has the more impressive wins (at LAR, vs OAK), but Philly has the win over Wash and the better point differential. Of course most of that differential is due to the whipping up on a terrible AZ team at 1:00pm in Philly. Both teams are similar with QBs who are good if given time and space, but mistake prone when you take away time and/or space (although Wentz is getting better at making plays when the pocket collapses, whereas Cousins still struggles). Neither team's built to play from behind, so they're winning due to being up and holding on (like Philly barely did vs. NYG with their 61-yard gw).

Dallas has to go 5-1 in the division and sweep either Wash or Philly to have a shot. As Dallas's schedule is tougher as they still have to play KC, ATL, SEA and OAK out of the division. 10-6 will likely win the division unless Philly wins lots of close games.

The biggest issue for Dallas right now is the spine of their D - the DTs, the LBs and the Safeties. Lee helps some, but not sure it'll be enough or how long he'll stay healthy.

The future schedule does matter, and it seems Philly has an easier schedule remaining and has had a more difficult schedule to this point. Meaning, that they are ahead, because they have played better, not because of their schedule, and they are likely to remain ahead for both reasons.

What exactly is your point about the schedule? You seemed to imply the success of those ahead of Dallas was due to less than a first place schedule. That's not at all true. So if that wasn't your point, please clarify.

You might be able to make an argument that it isn't entirely accurate but definitely can't prove it isn't at all true. Maybe you are right and it isn't true... this year; However this is a correlation that shows itself year after year across the league.

Better tip would be how to tell when the NFCE isn't having an off year.
