I would be perfectly fine with those position selections if those players playing those positions were the BPA when selected. I want the best player regardlessof position.

How upset would you be if, with our first round pick we drafted:

1. A right tackle
2. A wide receiver
3. Wittens replacement at tight end
4. A linebacker
5. A corner

Let's hear it.

Gonna depend who is on the board. Would I be upset if we are picking in the md to late 20s and a tackle projected to go top 10 is there and we take him, no. But assuming when we pick a DE is there with roughly the same grade as a RT and we pick the RT...I'd be livid.

I can see a WR, but I think there's we'll definitely resign Butler, and maybe even Williams if he doesn't price himself out of our market, but I can't say how I'd feel until then.

I think I'd be okay with OJ Howard, even at the expense of certain DE prospect.

LB is a position where I'm vastly different than the rest of the board. I really believe in today's NFL, there's no need to tie resources into 3 LBs, because 1 will be on the bench more than 50% of the time. I think Jaylon Smith will make a full recovery and Sean Lee seems a bit more durable...knock on wood...so I would not take a LB at any point early. Not to mention, I really want Randy Gregory moved to SLB.

I'd take a corner as well. Claiborne as well as he's playing, could easily price himself out of Dallas, or if we commit long term, revert back to his previous levels of play. Not to mention Scandrick was really struggling prior to getting re-injured, may not have been healthy the first few weeks, but he wasn't good. Carr will be gone, and while Brown is playing well, we need more talent there, especially someone with legit ball skills.

That's not what I asked lol. But you dodged as I predicted. The BPA no matter what approach is so flawed it's comical, no offense (I know how emo some of you guys get on here).
Eh don't be too hard on Hardline. He loves him some runnin backs.

A right tackle might have made sense if we hadn't pushed some of Doug Free's money into next year and if Chaz Green hadn't shown he could be the guy when he filled in for Tyron earlier in the year. If we are sitting there in the 2nd or 3rd and the clear BPA is Notre Dame's Mike McGlinchey (6-7/310), UCLA's Conor McDermott (6-8/310), or USC's Zach Banner (6-9/360) is there, you'd have to consider them.

A wide receiver makes sense if Terrance Williams and Brice Butler leave via free agency. USC's JuJu Smith-Schuster (6-2/220) is all over mocks right now but he should be gone before we pick. SMU's Courtland Sutton (6-4/215) has gotten a lot of love lately.

A tight end absolutely makes sense. This team wants to run 12 personnel and Gavin Escobar is about to hit free agency. Witten has a few years left in the tank at best. Also, what bigger impact could this team add in the late 1st round than adding Alabama's O.J. Howard (6-6/251) would? That guy is an athletic freak and serious offensive weapon.

A linebacker may very well end up being BPA when the Cowboys are on the clock. With Sean Lee and hopefully Jaylon Smith, some would argue that is a luxury pick. Especially when you look at the recent contributions of Anthony Hitchens and Damien Wilson. Vanderbilt's Zack Cunningham (6-3/230) is one of my favorite guys in this year's draft. His athleticism and size would allow him to play all 3 LB spots in this defense. Ohio State's Raekwon McMillan (6-2/240) and Jarrad Davis (6-1/240) could be in that BPA conversation as well.

Cornerback is a concern with the contract status of Mo Claiborne and Brandon Carr undetermined at this time. Plus, there's a lot of solid CB's in the 1st round mix. Florida has both Teez Tabor (6-0/199) and Quincy Wilson (6-1/211). Alabama burner Marlon Humphrey (6-1/196) has good size and tools to go with that speed. Iowa's Desmond King (5-10/203) looks tailor-made for this defense. Washington's Sidney Jones (6-0/181) has had a great year for the Huskies. USC's Adoree Jackson (5-11/185) has developed into a shutdown corner and a top return man. Colorado's Chidobe Awuzie (5-11/205) is quietly rising up draft boards as well.

If Fournette were available at our pick (No way he lasts til 32), the Jones boys better be looking to fleece someone in a trade.

Depends what we do in FA but not too upset.

I'd like a player at all of those positions.. A Dynamic TE could really do wonders.
