Predicting anything with this team is just impossible because they are so wildly inconsistent.

They could easily win all 3...they could just as easily lose to Philly by 3 TDs. Unfortunately, I think the second of those scenarios is most likely.

How is your prediction any better than mine? You adamantly said they are going to win all three. I said that's possible but unlikely. Considering the way this team has played the last month or so, I think my opinion was right on.

Yep. I actually see us winning out to finish 10-6 much to the dismay of our fanbase. I really do. Am I nuts? Possibly.

After that, not sure what I see. But anything is possible.

As you know I have hate/fear the Eagles over the years because of where I live. They are talking of running the table and Giants and Cowboys collasping, like in 2008. Hey, I admit, it can happen. But I want to say this is not 2008. But here may be a likely scenario:

Eagles go 2-1, losing to Jets, beating us and Redksins (7-9)

Giants go 2-1, beating Washington and the Jets, losing to us (9-7)

Cowboys go 2-1, beating Bucs, beating to Philly, beating Giants (9-7)

Who wins the divison?

head to head: 1-1, next:

divison record: same, 3-3, next

record in common games: Right now is tied at 5-2 (common teams are Rams, Cards, Seattle, Patriots, 49ers, Bills, Dolphins)...but there is one final team..the J-E-T-S. That is 8 common opponents. If the Giants win that game, in my scenario - they capture the divison which would make the season finale meaningless, right?

So if it ain't 3-0, it ain't no go!

Here's how I see it ending.

Dallas rolls into Tampa on Saturday night and wins easily, but in similar fashion to the win over Seattle. NY wins by one score over Was. As a result, the Eagles are eliminated from any chance to win the division and lay an egg hosting the Jets, who run for 200 yards on them.

The following week, the Jets win handily over the Giants, again piling up close to 200 yards rushing and picking Manning twice. With the pressure off and no longer needing a win to stay alive for the division, the Cowboys win by 10 over the Eagles with 3 sacks from Ware.

In the finale, the Giants take a 13 point lead into the 4th quarter, and all the "realists" disavow the team and leave cowboyszone forever. In their wake, Dallas storms back and Romo hits Robinson with 18 seconds remaining for the second of two 4th quarter TD passes, and the Cowboys win by a point.

So yeah, that's pretty much how I see it, except I injected a little fantasy into the preceding paragraph.

I have no freekin clue what to expect from this team. Here is my prediction:

Dallas will win easily in Tampa. I will be there and have a blast sitting on the 50 yardline with the upgraded tix I scored today. Been working on these tix for 3 weeks. Too bad last Sunday took some of the shine off this game for me.

Philly and the Giants are going to score at least 24 points on Dallas. With Murray out, Dallas is going to have to jump on Romo's back and pray he can carry them to the playoffs. With Romo you've always got a chance (well unless we are playing the Packers anywhere or the Saints in NO).

Will Romo deliver? Maybe. He'll play well, but I'm not sold we get over 24 in both games. I'm also not sold Romo won't have to hang 35+ in one of those games to win.

The defense just isn't good enough.

2nd round of the playoffs with this defense? Is somebody besides Ware suddenly going to start rushing the passer? Are our corners going to start looking for the ball? Are our blitzing scheme suddenly going to stop letting WRs run wide open down the field? If it hasnt happened yet, why the hell is it going to happen in the last 3 games.


I think all this playoff talk is simply wishful thinking. We are going to probably beat a bad Tampa team, barely get past the Eagles, and then get decimated in New York.


We will end the season at 9-7 and no playoffs.

We'll probably win the next 2, just enough to get the fans giddy again, then as always, we'll make a dramatic exit on the final game and NY will once again be our Daddy, and Jerry will head off to his Yacht and drink his martini's and say to himself, who cares, I'm rich.

Meanwhile, he'll fire someone just to make the fans happy, then pick up some hotshot player in the draft, make us all tingly inside. Cut a few popular people, you know, the same old brain-washing schtick, we'll be all happy and so excited to see football after ripping each others head off during the Summer, most of us will predict a 12-4 record, and repeat the same trash we've repeated through the years.

And once again, I'll be there every Sunday "like an idiot" cheering.
