How will the coaches fix the run game (if possible)? It's bad

Through the first three games, we are 30th in rushing, only ahead of the Bears (31st) and the pitiful Raiders. So far, we have rushed 62 times for a total of 221 yards, a 3.6 ypc. In contrast, Barkley has rushed for 351 yards on 63 carries for 5.5 ypc., and Henry, has rushed for 281 yards on 56 carries for 5.0 ypc. Both have four TD's. Both were available, and we could have at least tried to get one of them.

While we don't have Philly's o-line, our line isn't bad. Why can't our coaches scheme like other coaches and get our RBBC into some open space? Surely our talent isn't so deficient that we can't do better than 3.6 ypc., right? Maybe?

The strongest link is Tyler Smith.

Now you have the following:
2 Rookies
Steele getting blown up like he is a rookie
Old man Zack whose body is failing him and gets zero push in the run game.
Sprinkle in some trash at RBC for good measure.

There is absolutly no fixing it. The only hope is the rookies improve as the season progresses, Steele becomes like he was paid to be and Zack's replacement is drafted.

Can’t be fixed in season as it’s a personnel issue—unless we do some bombshell trade. But that won’t happen because A.) Skeletor Jones is an idiot, and B.) It’s not going to fix anything considering the offense will still be anemic (no WR, horrible O-line, and wack overpaid QB), nor the horrible run defense. So it’d be pointless even if we did.

We need to tank to be honest. This roster is extremely putrid. Outside of the horrible team culture and imploding locker room, the personnel is nothing to rave home about. The coaching would be of no aid either and we need a complete overhaul of the coaching staff besides Bones.

It won’t happen but it would prob be best to go after some established DT help in FA because they swing and miss like a ten year old little leaguer seeing his first curveball

change the offensive scheme to Shanahan style of offense (which is tough to do during the season). No matter who they have at RB they seem to run the ball well. And bonus points is they love stretching the field horizontally, where guys are open, can catch the ball and run with it.

Well....I know what I would do......@least on first down

LDE- Gohlston
DT-Osa
NT-Mazi
RDE-Kneeland

On first down....we are too small on the edges.....and are getting fooled on stupid playaction roll outs. Have our defensive ends..stay home...keep containment.

Depending on down and distance....anything over 7 yards.....I'm blitzing.....and bringing in our speed package

DT- Kneeland
