I think this is a classic chess match for Bellichick. How to shut down our potent offense. He has said the 2 coaches he goes up against that are the best X&O's guys are Shannahan and Phillips.

What is going to concern the Hoodie is we can beat him running and throwing. Well, with MB3 running that is. If Hoodie tries a Saints contain Romo in pocket he runs risk of getting picked apart as our Line is vastly upgraded and we have threats everywhere. And we can wear his front 7 out in process.

I think the Hoodie is going to try and throw looks at Romo he has never seen. Try and confuse or at least disrupt Romo some. How does he do that?

He's going to throw 2 man fronts at him. 2-3-6 looks. But with Vrabel, Thomas and Colvin and a Safety he can morph it into a 6 man rush or next play drop 9 men into coverage. Look for a lot of gimmicks from BB.

Now Phillips is a sly codger, he see's that he will run MB3 down their throats to set up play action and later passing will kill Pats. Our Oline may be able to wear out their defense also.....

Great matchup!

Next up - how do we stop Brady and the Mossfest?

Hit Brady in the mouth. Done.

I think we have the potential to beat them, or anyone else. But, I dont think we will wear them down. They have some big ole DTs that are pretty darn good. This is not the Rams. We beat NE playing just as we have been. Play to our strengths. Low turn overs. A take away or 2. Don't get behind to start....

Welcome back Nors. I don't want to overlook the Bills just yet, but I'll play along.

Bill, aka, the Hoodie, will definitely throw different looks on defense at Romo and the Cowboys. He'll do his best to confuse.

But as it has been said, our offensive line is much more talented than it has been in seasons past. The O-line is going to protect much better, as well as wear down the Pats.

The Cowboys will have to keep the mental mistakes to a minimum to give themselves a chance, and Roy and Hamlin are going to have to have big games in the secondary to keep Moss and Stallworth in check.

Key to winning the game: Get in Brady's face early and often. Knock him on his butt and keep the pressure consistant. Brady gets frustrated when he's constantly harrassed (moreso than most).

a few years back on local radio. He has a weekly radio show on 850 WEEI. He mentioned Phillips and Shannahan as best X&O coaches in the NFL.

Is that really a suprise? Phillips is a Wily Veteran that schemes away and Shannahan is a genius in his own right. It's not like he answered Zimmer and Gilbride.....

The Patriots defense is not nearly as good as it use to be. The media Hypes there front 7 but I find their overall LB core to be um. The Patriots defense Red zone defense has not had a stop yet.

I think Witten is the key to the Patriots him up the seam and he can destory the lb corps.

I am more worried about the Patriots Offense can we get a keystop from the defense when it matters. This could be another shoot out for this team.

The Patriots are getting all the love because of Randy Moss and they wo a superbowl 3 years ago

Yeah and they were a bad Tom Brady pass away from going to the super bowl last year, with a bunch of no name WR's, and a worse defense then this year.

This Pats team is for real, and its going to take a close to perfect game for us to beta them.

Witten AND Fasano on their linebackers is money. This could actually be a breakout game for Fasano, because they'll be so intent on stopping Witten.

I can promise you this...he will not double and triple team Owens and leave other people WIDE open....he didn't in the Super Bowl when the Pats played the Eagles. You have to spread the Pats out

If the Cowboys can establish a good running game for the WHOLE game, then that would be a good way to keep the ball out of Bradys' hands and also win the time of possession.

With the biggest oline in football, I would think that they will just beat the snot out of the Pats defense and basically, hopefully, win the 4th quarter.

If the Cowboys cannot establish the run, then it's a shootout and I think with Garretts agressive play calling the Cowboys have an advantage over the Pats recieving core...and hopefully if it's close at the end, Folk comes in and nails the winning field goal...

On defense, I think the Cowboys will break out some new schemes that have not been shown so far, and if Ware and Co. can *****-slap Brady 8 or 9 times he will start making mistakes...all of this in the 4th qtr of course.

But, I think, just like I did last year with the mighty Colts coming to town undefeated, everyone claiming they could go 16 - 0, I had the feeling that the Cowboys would win that game...I feel the same way with this game.

This is not the Cowboys team of the past...a new era has arrived!

Check it out...

 ;)

I hope he tries to be gimmicky. That only works against bad, inexperienced teams.

Someone said it earlier.

You have to spread them out and occupy bodies with receivers. So, LOTS of 3, 4, even 5 receiver sets.

That severely limits their creativity on defense as their db's and lb's have guys and areas they have to cover.

Spread'em. Pick'em. Draw'em

to me right now it is, I think obvious we do not run the ball well enough to threaten anyone. I believe the pats will use one safety closer to the line of scrimmage to help the linebackers deal with the crossing routes where we have killed everybody.

I think he will take those intermediate routes away with their linebackers and safeties, make hurd or crayton beat them deep or run the ball to win.

I think that is what we are going to see alot of after this game, I believe minnesota will do the same.....

We are going to have to run better to win the 4 games we play.
