Jalon Walker LB Georgia . They play defense over in Athens that they do . The Eagles have invested in some Bulldogs early in recent drafts as they rebuilt an old unit .

Given Overshowns devastating injury Walker maybe just what the DC needs somewhere mid first round to keep up the pressure and attack mode .

IF he is BPA when we pick I would not scream about it. But a LB cannot do much without at least a good DL in front of him and right now we do not have that.

People might scream at a safety but his teammate Malaki Starks would cover safety for the Cowboys for yrs to come as just the the kind of playmaker the last line of defense now lacks .

Coming away with Walker and Starks
In this draft plus a complementary back to Dowdle like a Dylan Sampson would be a haul .

It would be a great pick considering my favorites will most likely be gone. Walker is an elite pass rusher, not just a linebacker. I would prefer Grant(DT) if he is there as well but I hope one of these two will still be available.

You know football . The Cowboys . Walker would go a long way to try and get Parsons and Liufau help in trying to replace Overshown and his great potential .

I have been on the fence with Kendrick’s but the more I see him the more I think Jerry needs him back and obviously OSA . Get this Defense rebuilt & stable .

Georgia’s program is right where Bama was under Saban . Those players attack and play fast . They handled Texas twice this year . The Eagles like I said have spent some high picks on Bulldogs to help rebuild a D that can take them to a SB .

Malaki Starks at S and Walker at LB would be a dream come true if McClay & Jones could pull it off with 1 & 2 picks . Starks is like Hamilton the Notre Dame safety the Ravens took and is a fixture

If Dallas can’t get Graham or Grant, this is the direction I want the Cowboys to go

At 14, sign me up. The kid can play and he was developed at Georgia.

IF Jethro would get a very good NT in FA I would be very happy with this.
Problem is the odds are not only will he not do that; but also not take a top DT in the draft either

I’m on the fence on Walker. I think he plays his best coming downhill as a pass rusher.

If that’s the case is he good enough to be a full time Edge? Does he have the size / length to hold up against the run?

I read something about how worse his grade is as an ILB opposed to Edge.

I think there’s too many question marks for a top 15 pick.

Remember last draft they had a big interest in Cooper out of A&M? He is balling out in GB. Walker could have that sort of impact. That said I think they go offense round 1. If Jeanty is there when they pick, unless Jerry is locked in the closet, I dont see them passing on him.

Totally agree!

If Overshown can return - Walker, Liufau and Overshown in 2026.

Would not be upset at all. In fact I am all in after reading his scouting report. An exceptional rusher and all around good intelligent player.

It’s hard to go wrong with a defensive star out of a program like Georgia . Walker would go a long way to filling the Overshown gap next season .

Malaki Starks is also tempting round one but I can see the fans howl if Dallas took a safety round one . Starks should be a star in the NFL where as our safeties are average right now ..

That's the whole evaluation with Walker, hard to figure out how to use him correctly. Most believe he is best as an Edge but has played off the ball at both inside and outside linebacker in the SEC. Great size as an off the ball linebacker, but undersized as an Edge. I am interested to see where the trusted media scouts view him.

Yea I know the traits are great but he seems like a bit of a tweeter or project to me.

He’s near the bottom of my list for round 1.

He’s an Outside LB in the NFL which means like Overshown going after the QB will be big in the playbook . 6’2” 245 plenty of size to hold up and the Cowboys are going to have to invest early in this draft at this position make up for losing # 13 . Carl Lawson can fill the edge along with Kneeland & Golston , Walker meant for the LB position .

I suggest they bring Kendrick’s back for the middle I think when he’s on the field he’s passed the test .

Starks will be gone round one if Dallas passes on him he might even be gone before they pick . You can flip this take Starks and hope a Jalon Walker OLB type is available when your # is called round 2. This defense has to get better if Dallas is to contend not WR TE or RB early
