1. Would he continue to preach that we need to spend less and draft well?
2. Does he hire an actual GM to run the football operations
3. Does he take risks and gambles as his father had done in his career as the owner of the Cowboys
4. Will he be as involved in the press conferences, and look for attention in the media as his father did
5. Will he allow his head coach to be the head coach and want all the control

This should be interesting to see your thoughts on how you feel Stephen would control this team, Please give your thoughts!

It is pretty common knowledge that Stephen is extremely risk averse, and doesn't want to spend cash. He's option 1, to a tee.

The rest is minutiae.
Jerry is the master marketing machine which drives us high on that Forbes list, with him not here, I bet we come down considerably lol. We make so much and are cautious about spending, something just isnt right about this

My guess is 1 and 4 combo. I doubt he has the talent or courage to put together a championship team. He impresses me as overly cautious and timid. His only experience at anything is his dad's shadow.

less FAs. let the stars walk, minimize cash spend to what is allowed by bargaining agreement.

There is no way that is going to happen.
so you think Stephen will have the same influence that Jerry has in selling the "brand" I understand it's the Cowboys, and just saying the C in cowboys gets you about 500 million a season lol

Stephen Jones is already the GM. Jerry is a 'consultant'.

I think over the year he's coming out of that shadow as Jerry allows

The marketing division of the Dallas Cowboys will be just fine without Jerry.

Expect pretty much the same, if not a little worse.................. they will continue to be cheap in FA, they will not admit mistakes early in either the coaching ranks or on their roster (because that would cause them to have to spend more cash), they will continue to just try to sign some of their stars and hope that is enough.

If my life depended on the correct answer, I would bet that the Cowboys won't win a SB over the next 15-20 years.

Is there any doubt Stephen sees himself as the next GM? Our only hope may be that the grandkids don't want to be involved on a day to day basis and that we live until that point...

He'll run this team into the ground while maximizing profits.

1 & 4. Hoping for #5.

Only good thing is at least his ego isn't as big as Jerry's as Jerry had a generational ego.

Been almost 30 years, fans are running low on patience sir
I was referring to the crypt keeper knocking on Jerry's door. He's 82 next month, so the time for Stephen to take over is approaching.

Patience - we're going to find out soon enough because time is running out for old Jerrah

I wanted to say something more negative but that would be hurtful and wrong, so I left it at that!

Whatever happens, it won't be what we will consider a Golden Age. Stevie Wonder can't point back 30 years ago and say, "at least I hired Jimmy and we had initial success".

Frankly, I can't see a path to success with Stevie as the Emperor. He will have to do it differently and hire actual football guys to manage this team. I just don't see it working out at all if he continues the status quo.
