Just how would you feel if the eagles pulled a Giants on the NFL?

Anyone think it could happen? I mean, how much of a SLAP in the face of the Cowboys if the eagles finally won the first Lombardi in their history?

They can beat the Vikings...but can they run the table?

You think you want to vomit now about the Cowboys! Can you imagine what it would be like if the dirty birds won it all?

Help me understand why not! I'm having nightmares here!

Being from around Philly, thats the worst scenario I could ever think of.

I'd probably have to hang myself.

I wouldn't mind seeing veteran players like Brian Dawkins and even Donovan McNabb finally get a ring.

However, the MAIN reason I wouldn't want to see the Eagles run the table is the fact that some will start repeating the "Our failures as a team wasn't that bad because we were eliminated by the Super Bowl Champs" mantra just like they did last year.

Nah, the Eagles will suffer the curse of the Cowboys. Most teams are emotionally low the week after kicking the crap out of Dallas. Seen it happen lots over the years. Wouldn't be surprised if Philly is one and done.

Good point....

I just can't fathom how much crap we would get from their fans! I mean, it's bad already and they have not won crap!

Or, if they did win, do you think that FINALLY their fans would become a little more respectable, or do you think they would get worse?

Anythings possible in the NFL so an Eagles Super Bowl victory can happen but given it's the Eagles, they'll figure out a way to prevent it on their own.

Here's a reason why Philly won't pull it off. Their best WR is Desean Jackson, a Cowboy type player. When they need a clutch catch, he's the guy that will get open, catch it and turn it over. A huge swing player in a critical position and you can't win with swing players.

Did anyone read Lurie's lips toward the end of the game? He stood next to McNabb with a grin on his face and said, "Four more." Of course he meant four more wins to the Eagles first Super Bowl title. I wanted to gag. I swear I did. And, no, I don't believe they will do it.

Worse, no question.

Have you seen what winning the Superbowl has done to Giants' fans? Last year should be capsuled as far as the attitude of the Giants' fanbase goes. After the Cowboys swept them, collectively they acted like a defeated group and basically conceded that the Cowboys were far and away superior. The tune they sang changed drastically as early as beating the Cowboys in the playoffs. For the most part they've been flat out unbearable since they won the Superbowl. Imagine a fanbase that's already terrible, getting justfication to spew nonsense?

An Eagles championship would trump my long-standing prediction that the Cowboys would win their sixth Super Bowl well-before Philadelphia would win their first. That would bite big time.

Damn! I forgot about that.

I think Minnesota is winning this game. I've liked them since this summer when they made some nice FA pickups. Solid D, two headed running attack, QB obviously a question but I think they can win this week.

Do you want the Eagles or Giants to win the super bowl and represent the NFC East power or do you hate your rivals that much that it doesn't matter? Tough question to ask yourself.
