How would you feel???

Honestly, as I was crying in my beer after our game and watching the last pieces of the other afternoon games, upon seeing the brackets, I said to the guy on the bar stool next to me, "wow, the Eagles can really do some damage" - can they beat Minny? Sure. Giants? Yes. Panthers? Sure.

The only real issue with them is inconsistency. Personally, I think they are going to win in Minny and then play a strong game against the Giants but likely come up a little short.

Being from around Philly, thats the worst scenario I could ever think of.

I'd probably have to hang myself.

That's something to think about. I mean evacuating our Cowboys fans from Pennsylvania in a worst-case scenario.

For sure there would looting and acne cleansing and deprivations on our fellow Cowboyskind.

it would stink worse than cupcake after he leaves the restroom:puke:

Good point....

I just can't fathom how much crap we would get from their fans! I mean, it's bad already and they have not won crap!

Just throw it back in their face that we still have more Super Bowl wins than them. :p:

The Eagles are going to win 3 straight road games + the SB against probably either the Titans, Colts, or Steelers???

No way in hell that happens, go get some sleep.

Here's a reason why Philly won't pull it off. Their best WR is Desean Jackson, a Cowboy type player. When they need a clutch catch, he's the guy that will get open, catch it and turn it over. A huge swing player in a critical position and you can't win with swing players.

Bingo, this is their largest weakness, a lack of a quality WR threat. Hell, we have their last quality WR threat...

Another bingo. The Eagles can beat any team they are going to potentially face, but have not shown that they can win against quality teams with consistency. If they had just one game, they have a chance. But to win four more - not realistic.

Still, I wouldn't bemoan them if they did. I come from the school of thought that if you don't win, your nearest relative does. That means the NFC East. It would kill me to be a 49ers fan, knowing my team got affirmative action every year by playing in a pancake division and being gifted 8 wins out of the box every year during my championship runs by playing my divisional patsies. No other division has the glory of the NFC East, and when you win that division, you EARNED it baby.

I don't think Philadelphia will, but I do believe Philadelphia can and will beat New York. They dismantled them in their last meeting.

Even if the Eagles reached the Super Bowl, surely Pittsburgh or Indianapolis would crush them anyhow.

I see them beating Minny and possibly the Giants, but I think the Panthers can take em.

How would I feel? Hummm...
The volume of my puke would fill the Grand Canyon. If that gives you any idea.

They'd find a way to choke or :ralph: the game away.

I'm pulling for the Cardinals in the NFC...I literally hate every other team, Atlanta included.

However, if it came down to NY or Philly, I'd pull for Philly. I'd rather the Eagles win one finally than the Giants win another.

I would also feel cursed.

Losing to the Giants in a close game that came down to the final plays last season in our first playoff game appeared to be a total failure at first glance. However, after the Giants beat everyone and won the SB against the 18-0 Patriots, I began to look at our 13-3 season as a great year. We lost to the SB champions, nothing to be ashamed of...if that loss had come in the NFC title game instead of the divisional round, it wouldn't have made our season look so bad at the time, but that's the way it goes.

If that happened to us two years in a row, I'd have to think God was against us. Of course, it's very different this year because we would have been totally embarrassed by the eventual SB team in what amounted to a playoff game instead of barely beaten as with the Giants.

They'd probably forfit their post season after the clock hit :00 in OT by going to the locker room thinking their season ended in a tie.

pretty physically ill: BUT I'd rather see them win it than the GSpots: that's the championship game IMO: gspots/iggles

(THEN I hope the AFC champion beats the winner in the Super Bowl.............unless it's the steelers....then all bets are off.)

I'd rather the Eagles than the Steelers for sure - I mean honestly, isn't hating the Steelers the penultimate in Cowboys fandom? I mean for anyone at least 30+ years old?

Me too :)

I really can't think of any other team that I would want to win from the NFC. Can't stand the Giants, Iggles forget about it and Atl, Carolina and Minnesota (Meh). I would feel the best with Carolina making it if the Cards don't, which they probably won't if they have to travel East.

Out of the AFC, I guess I'd pick Miami or Tennessee. I'll be mad if the Colts make it just because my co-worker loves them and it will piss me off if she gets 2 Super Bowls in 3 years. Oh yea, and I can't stand the Steelers either...Their fans think they are god's gift to the Earth. Most have not even ever been the Sh1tsburg.
