How would you grade the 2013 draft class now?

When you get three starters out of one draft, it's not a terrible haul. It's unfortunate our coaching staff is completely inept and we will never know what we truly had in Escobar. All we know is he made plays when they actually used him. Holloman was really coming into his own when he was injured. He likely would have been our starting SAM of the present and future, he had some serious coverage ability. Frederick was considered a reach back then, but if everything is taken in hindsight, then so must that pick, which makes it impossible to call it a reach. He is on the cusp of being the best center in the league.

Without Holloman I give it a C. With Holloman (four starters), I give it a B.

Thought it was poop then...still do:thumbdown:

We reached for Frederick regardless how the front office wants to spin it. He still holds the slowest 40 time in the history of the combine...nobody was gonna take him in the 1st round.

If we can call picks terrible in hindsight, then the opposite it also true. The pick clearly wasn't a reach and we got amazing value for the pick.

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
1. Travis Frederick
2. Gavin Escobar
3. Terrance Williams
3. JJ Wilcox
4. BW Webb
5. Joseph Randle
6. Devonte Holloman

Webb, Randle, Holloman all out of the league.

Escobar, Wilcox never amounted to much of anything.

Williams looking to be replaced, but did have a couple decent seasons as the #2. Probably doesn't see a 2nd contract.

Frederick. Hit, nice pick.

C/C-

Slightly better than the 2012 class, but when you look at those 2 classes back to back it's easy to see how we're a 4-12 team.

Randle might be back. He was a great running back.

Ya losing Holloman really hurt this draft. I think he would have been starting right now had he not had healthy issues. Most of these guys have talent, Wilcox, Williams all showed flashes but Wilcox has taken steps backwards and Williams isn't a number 1 and without Romo and Dez he looks out of place. Williams scored a ton of TDs for us when everyone is healthy.

Escobar has talent but as long as we have Witten no TE will be worth the pick in any round. Terrible about his injury now we will never know
