How You Thought A Movie Should Have Ended vs What Did

No mention of Game of Thrones yet? Never seen a series go from hero to zero so fast in its final few episodes. Stinker.

it happened at the worlds fair.
movie ends with pilot mike edwards(elvis presley) signing up for the space program...then sings "happy ending" thru the seattle crowd at the worlds fair...hand in hand with his love interest.

it should have ended with mike...already in the space program...saying good-bye to his girl as he makes his way to the launch site to board the space probe.
the movie ending with the launch.

Unforgiven - I would have preferred to see Little Bill suffer for a few hours.
Agreed, but I think the point is that it was a contrast between the real monster, Little Bill and who everyone in the movie thought was the monster William Munny. In the end, we saw their actions and while Munny was a killer, there was purpose to it and he didn't make others suffer. Little Bill, on the other hand, was supposed to be the good guy yet tortured for fun and power. Should he have gotten more punishment, sure, but it would have hurt the point. IMHO.

Die Hard. Not the end of the story, which is great but the end of the film. The last two minutes where everyone is outside and smiling and its suddenly Christmas again, yuck.

Should have ended with Bruce walking out, sees family, immediately roll credits.

Some great movies out there, but has a terrible or confusing ending. Like " Lord of the Rings" with 25 alternate different endings ,just muddied it up for me. So here's your chance of how a movie should have ended in your opinion.

For me: TWISTER
I hated the whole Helen Hunt crew. Most irritating, annoying, sniveling bunch of losers. My ending, that tornado jumps over Bill Paxton & Helen Hunt and goes right for her crew and obliterating them!!! NOW THAT'S THE ENDING I WANTED?

So what movie would you change the ending.
Ive got several

In every single movie starring Salma Hayek or Charlize Theron or Jessica Alba i think we will end up together but we never do

I’ve always hated how Hollywood changes history to make the movie a happy ending. Taking out the sad truthful endings, the sins, etc just gives people a warped vision of history. There were never any good old days. We’ve always been a flawed product. I get it, the movies are for escapism, but I think most people get their history lessons from the movies and showing the real truths would help us avoid repeating history or improve as people.
