It's called the eye test man. Rodgers has been barely touched all season. GB offensive line gave up like 8 sacks coming into our game which is about the same amount Dallas line has given up. The Giants, even with JPP and Vernon, didn't sniff Rodgers. The defensive line was going to struggle in this game due to the fact that we don't have any elite pass rushers and Green Bay has a great offensive line. We needed the secondary to step up in this game and they did big time.

The defense is playing insanely well for a unit so lightly regarded going into the season. I can't just write off the possibility that some of the defensive fervor I'm witnessing isn't a by-product of the play of Prescott and the confidence with which he is infusing this entire team.

Okay, this defense is historically great. We are innovators, zero pressure on QBs will be the future in this league. Also context of how stats came to be should be thrown out and forgotten directly after a game is over so other football don't get upset and say you have some kind of personal issue.

If you have to make post after post after post making excuses to ignore the blatant obvious or you simply get offended when I say us playing struggling and mediocre offenses have helped, you do need to be enlightened.

There is a lovely little ignore button if you need to filter out people that are not positive enough for you.

They've been going up against offenses that have been struggling.

2 weeks ago the entire world was saying, lets see what they do against Cincy and GB. If I had come in here then and posted we would dominant Cincy and only allow 2 TD's after the game was decided, only to then beat GB and only allow 1 garbage time TD no one would have believed me. Probably would have been laughed off the forum.

I don't think I'm smarter. I think people after games, whether it's a loss or a win, get caught in fan emotions. If someone isn't being negative enough after a loss, people get frustrated. If someone isn't positive enough, people get frustrated.

Our defense HAS been helped by medicore offenses. We don't get pressure on the QBs nearly enough to be a contender, and I don't care about our record right now. The NFL gets harder as goes on in a season.

And people are laughing at me? Coming from a forum who wouldn't sit for a moment and think a bit all last season, started multiple "fire everyone" threads without critically thinking about what our problems were really; I really don't care if "everyone is laughing" at me.

You're being overly emotional over a single post that pointed out why our defense is looking like more than what they are. You then went off with personal attacks.

Joe Baker and Greg Jackson have done a great job coaching the defensive backs this year. They are tackling much better, and are getting their hands on many more passes than in recent memory.

I actually understand you. That said, our defense being any where near the middle in any category feels like a huge win to me. My expectations were so incredibly low for the defense that I thought we'd have to win a shoot out every game.

I'm also of the opinion that at least a small part of the reason the offenses we've played aren't ranked better is because we've played them fairly well.
