This makes sense for us. Let's hope we add him.

Brian Hoyer...or Kellen Moore

just to make this question interesting, let's say Brian Hoyer blind in one eye with a JPP like throwing hand or Kellen Moore. That's a far more interesting what if.

I would be fine with Hoyer. Dallas could be a good situation for him depending what Dallas does in the draft. I doubt any team is going to give Hoyer a starting position and being a backup in Dallas could be a strategic move playing behind an older QB with a injury history. For Dallas, Hoyer could definitely be that veteran backup who could win you a few games if needed. I would expect he would wait until after the draft to decide where he would want to play. If Dallas takes a QB early, they would not be an option any longer.

I'm more thinking if QB isn't in the cards in the first, they will eyeball TC/Preseason cuts to fill the #2 role bf game 1; hopefully avoiding day 2/3 QB backup projects. Supports the wing it style they have applied to FA outside of Thornton so far, etc. Who knows with all the Rams/CLE speculation/misinformation taking a about QB in rd 1 tbh.

Otherwise we're goin with JAG @ backup QB or surprise cut in in TC, etc. Hoyer is another JAG (shows flashes admittedly) in the cards post draft as a poster mentioned a couple post above. Would have much preferred a modified game plan with a JAG over what we saw last season. This next season will come down to Romo's health without a top QB in the draft or flexibility in gameplan when Romo is out that isn't so conservative. Maybe a a band aid fix but only kicking the can too.
