Yep their game finishes at 4 pm local time.. They get home in time to have dinner AND watch the Cowboys game on TV AND sleep in their own beds Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night.. Fly to Dallas after practice on Wednesday, have a nice team meal at some swanky joint and go to bed. The don't lose a day or prep time like the Cowboys do. I remember when Tex Schramm only agreed to play on Thanksgiving if the Cowboys could be at home the game prior. I don't know when Jerry gave that up but our advantage on on Thanksgiving has not be the same since because of it. I really think Jerry needs to put his foot down and demand that not only they restore the home game the Sunday before but get rid of that damn Thursday-Thursday crap the week after Thanksgiving which forces us to play 3 games in like 11 days. . Fortunately they spared us that nonsense this year.. but my gut tells me it will be back.
Good question. Playing at home before Turkey day was an advantage. Not sure how we lost that and or if we do every time?

We have to get a Thursday game in somewhere besides Thanksgiving so playing it after Thanksgiving means we only have that one short week to contend with and we still get the 11 days afterwards.

Huge 3 game stretch through Thanksgiving… As Parcells would say— you know what you are by Thanksgiving.

Packers
Vikes
Giants

If this team’s record is 9-2, or 8-3 after Turkey Day… they should be viewed as a legit contender in the NFC.

Following this offseason— and considering the injuries to Dak and Tyron— to even have a SHOT at 9-2 is well above expectation IMO.

Should they get to 9-2, even should they once again win the division, the true benchmark for success will— and should always be— postseason success.

That said— teams that can run the ball and play defense have done very well in the playoffs over the history of the NFL.

These next 3 games will tell us a LOT about the character, ceiling, and quality of this year’s version of the Dallas Cowboys.

Here’s to a great ride fellow fans— may your beers be cold, and the tears of our opponents be sweet
Just taking a wait and see approach and enjoying the games one at a time.

We are due a W on Thanksgiving. Hopefully the familiarity with NY and the tight division race brings out the best.

Totally agree that the Thanksgiving game isn’t an “advantage” to Dallas. Hasn’t been for a while. Hopefully MM does a better job preparing the guys this year than the last 2

Enjoy is the key word!

I’ve been in the UK since Sept 10 and have been enjoying the International NFL Gamepass.

I can watch any game from any team each week (including playoffs) — except for Sky Sports blackout games. I can also watch any game after it is over commercial free. $150 bucks total.

Been one of the best times watching the NFL as games start at 6pm and the late night games I can just queue up the day after whenever I want.

At this point in time, the best opponent on the schedule looks like the Titians, their HC is legit. IMO.

I think the reason we stink lately on Thanksgiving is scheduling. Ever since the league started demanding that we play the late game on the road the Sunday before Thanksgiving this team has come out with horrible energy (or lack thereof) on Thanksgiving. The reasons should be obvious.. If we play the late road game on Sunday that game ends around 7 Central time.. Add in 2 hours to get from the stadium to the charter and it's 9 pm Central. This year that game is in Minneapolis.. a 3 hour flight home.. so get into Dallas around midnight.. gather your stuff and head home.. maybe you get to bed by 2 am? So Monday is pretty much a lost cause preparation wise. Sure you get together as a team for a couple of hours Monday afternoon but practice? Not a chance. Then you got a light practice on Tuesday followed by a walk through on Wednesday.

The good news is that at least this year it's a familiar opponent. That should help with prep.. but will do nothing about the energy level of the team.
right, I believe any teams playing Thursdays as their next game should have noon kickoffs at home the game before. Just makes sense. i also hate the Thursday-to-Thursday schedule, used to if you played Thursday the bonus is a 10 day before the next game.

..only possible loss, if any are VIKS game.

Still, what I've seen from this team. 9-2 is very likely.

If Dak continues his A-Game, have some Etra Ham with Marshies on top. ;)..

Umm all 3 are possible wins or losses. this is post BYE Cowboys..

The DCs are like a Box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. we might get that good ***** or caramel or could be that nasty peach filling post bye play.

Three games we will win. Vikings are so overrated and each week have been lucky winning. Should have like 2 to 3 losses.

I had the Ticket for 20 years when I lived in California.. After I got it it became difficult for me to imagine what I did before.. Fortunately the Cowboys were on plenty of national TV games so I didn't miss that many.. but I did miss some and hated it. Now that I have moved to Fort Worth I like this better.. so no more Sunday Ticket for me.. I did buy another package (from another outlet for a lot cheaper) just so I could still have access to games when I'm on the road. So when I am not at home now I can plug in my Firestick and still watch the Cowboys.. I've never been a big fan of sports bars either.. but they have their place.. But being able to pause the game while I go potty or go grab a snack? Priceless!!

I'm expecting 2-1 over the next 3 games. If they can manage that, they will be in great shape. Each of the opponents is good or dangerous.

I love Vrabel, but that give up offense and prevent defense the last few minutes of the KC game surprised me.

They will be legit contenders when they prove they can win in the tournament.

I have seen this many times over the past almost 30 years. As recently as last season they were hailed as "legit contenders".

They are pretenders until they prove they can win when it matters.
Exactly! Rush could of won the last two games. It's the big games that somebody is getting paid to make the difference in.
