Good thing is after Thanksgiving we do not play again until Sunday Night at home vs Colts. Cowboys will get those extra days to rest after a 3 game span leading up to Thanksgiving. Last season we played Thanksgiving then turn around and played the following Thursday night.

Exactly! Rush could of won the last two games. It's the big games that somebody is getting paid to make the difference in.

No argument that Rush could have won these last two games.. But playing Dak in them was more about getting ready for tougher games. Having a road game at GB or Minny would FAR less than ideal conditions under which to get him acclimated back to game speed. It was a smart move to give him home games against a couple of 1-AA schools to get his legs back under him.

I have railed against that schedule for years. I think 3 games in 11 days places strain on players' bodies that they simply do not recover from for the rest of the season. Especially older players. I don't like it for any team and certainly not MY team.

Cowboys have played Thanksgiving Day since 1966, Tex wanted it when no one else did but with one catch and that was Cowboys would host the Thanksgiving Day game every year. It is a tradition and one I hope will continue.

I have no problem with the Thanksgiving Day tradition. It's the relatively new handicaps that the league started to place on the Cowboys that I take issue with. Forcing them to be on the road for late games the Sunday prior is one.. Then having them play the following Thursday after Thanksgiving was the icy poop on the warm dawg poo. I absolutely hate it for the guys.. because I really don't think their bodies fully recover from that short term grind. It will be interesting to see if the team performs better down the stretch this year now that they DON'T have that 3 games in 11 days turnaround.

They should win all 3 games...the Packers are heavily injured, then you have Cousins n Jones as the QBs in the last 2 games. Cowboys should bring this home. :flagwave:

I love Vrabel, but that give up offense and prevent defense the last few minutes of the KC game surprised me.
Going to come out of that game with some scrapes and bruises. Honestly, this schedule does not seem daunting compared to what we have faced in previous schedules in the second half of the season. Of course, our opponents are probably spouting the same thing.

It’s somewhat ironic that before the season started the first half of the schedule looked to be the most difficult. Now the 2nd half stretch appears to be the tougher stretch of games. If they can beat the Vikings and Titans on the road then we might have something here.
The 2nd half of the Cowboys schedule starts with a tough November.
But look at the opponents they face to start December...Colts, Texans, and Jaguars.
They have combined for just one more win than Dallas...7-17-2
Since the beginning of October - week 4 - these three teams have won just 4 games, with 2 of them being against each other.

I think any given sunday you can lose if youre not prepared.I dont care what the the records are its not easy to win in the NFL. I look for this team to finish 12-5 at worst. Im just not sure who they will lose to. Their run defense scares me the most then their stupidity with penalties. Clean those things up and we are legit. We are going to face a gauntlet of good running backs. Jones,Cook, Barkley are the next three. Then King henry looms. If we cant stop the run we are doomed.

We also need to impose our will on teams with our dual RB attack.

Huge 3 game stretch through Thanksgiving… As Parcells would say— you know what you are by Thanksgiving.

Packers
Vikes
Giants

If this team’s record is 9-2, or 8-3 after Turkey Day… they should be viewed as a legit contender in the NFC.

Following this offseason— and considering the injuries to Dak and Tyron— to even have a SHOT at 9-2 is well above expectation IMO.

Should they get to 9-2, even should they once again win the division, the true benchmark for success will— and should always be— postseason success.

That said— teams that can run the ball and play defense have done very well in the playoffs over the history of the NFL.

These next 3 games will tell us a LOT about the character, ceiling, and quality of this year’s version of the Dallas Cowboys.

Here’s to a great ride fellow fans— may your beers be cold, and the tears of our opponents be sweet
If Dallas continues to work out of injuries, they will be fine!:starspin:

I expect the game with the Vikes will be our toughest test.

Hopefully, we'll win all three. If not, we'll know why.

In any case, we'll be in serious contention.

For what, we'll discover in due time.
