Huge mistake not drafting Fields

This guy has the “it” factor. And the Cowboys made a huge blunder passing on this kid espiecially with a QB coming off two major surgeries. His arm doesn’t even work sounds like he might need Tommy John surgery. Now we’re stuck with a 40 million broken down QB. Dak’s contract will hold this team back for 4 years and he’ll be another Rg3.

Fileds didn't show much his first preseason game. I posted his every play in the NFL thread. He was 4/10 for 49 yards and 33 yards rushing on 3 attempts. Where exactly do you see the 'it' factor with Fields so far? Throw in he had a slight groin injury this week. He's probably not beating out Dalton this year.

That would be absolutely stupid to sign Dak to a huge contract than draft a QB top 10........ no Parsons on top of that or the 3rd round pick in the trade back.

If they didn't give Dak the contract than yes you draft Fields.

With Dak being signed long term i would have rather signed Trubisky to back up Dak........ he would kill it with this team if Dak was to miss time

Trubisky got a bad rap... he was on a bad team. Yeah, he would have been great as a backup but i reckon it would not be for long. He thinks of himself as a starter.

Cause he should be a starter. He is better than a ton of starters right now

many valid points raised a lot , but the dak mob are all in that he is worth 42 mil . I hope for our sake he has a good year with all these injuries. But yes fields or mac jones and others would have been good options. Heck we could have gone for Cam newton for 3.5 mil.

Did you watch Cam play any last season? Again they could have certainly taken a risk with an unknown Rookie but that is what it is at best a risk as just as many fail as they succeed. Fact is Dak has one of the best QB records since he has been in the league why would you throw that away for a risk? Better question what teams are moving on from winning QB's and you like "man that turned out good for them" your literally choosing to get rid of a known winning QB at an early age to gamble on a rookie...when the Rookie is good enough to win what will he be doing... yup you guessed it asking for a contract....this whole "throw the QB away once its time to pay him and get another in the draft" has worked at literally zero franchises over the last 15 years....Mahommes was drafted and sat behind Smith before the coach realized "this kid has it" Andy didn't chunk Smith then draft Mahommes...People are losing thier minds over these salaries.

Never seen him fumble like Zeke did last year. Doesn’t matter Sweat> zeke. The point of that post was to get something valuable while you can. No one would give a 1st for Zeke anymore. That was from 2019. I wanted to trade him before paying that ridiculous contract. I’m always one step ahead.
I followed your point and zeke has cost us games no argument there I’d rather have Henry and Ramsey that said I don’t think his fumble issues will continue . No ones trading for zeke

There is certainly risk . Talent evaluation is crucial . But jerry has been notorious in overpaying not only QBs. This compounds the problem. The chiefs paid mahomes at the right time ,a long term contract ( i think this year impact last year was 5 mil and this year only 24 mil) and that is a super bowl proven winner !!

Sure and it looks great because it worked....but there are 31 other teams its not working at, Thats my point. Again do I like how the FO has been working ..no. Do I think Dak is the problem..no, his contract will look like a noraml QB contract very soon. I have said all along we are too disperportioned on how the money is spent...Offense is way to heavy.

Dak Haters.................the chickens are coming home to roost :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:
A weak attempt at trolling them.

Fields is the future of the team, an exciting dynamic player and good kid. ...why wouldn't they cheer? It doesn't mean anything....except to playground bullies attempting insults.

I like Fields so this has nothing to do with him or his potential. As for the troll comment, that should be fairly obvious. This thread and it failed attempt to point out issues with Dak is not even accurate.
Welp....guess we all bit on it....now we just gotta try to get the hook out, eh?

Huge mistake not drafting a QB at all in this past draft. But our GM knows what he’s doing lol

very true it is the compounding of bad contracts. But dak in my opinion even at this time is overpaid , especially after that injury. I would have offered him 34 max two years ago and traded him for one or 2 first rounders at least. Now we have what we have and let us hope it pays off.

Don’t take this the wrong way but are you a bigger OSU fan than Dallas fan? Just curious

No.....the same.

I did grow up in Ohio...born raised, married started a family. So I have a TON of Buckeye in me. I remember about 11-12 years old I 'd watch local BGSU tv station, they played the entire Ohio State game, no commericals and local announcers. Awesome.

Not sure why it bothers you SO much. So much....you even really missed my point. I'm pretty over this "Dak hater"/"Dak slobberer" crap.

Can you believe here in Tampa I watch the Bucs games when Dallas isn't on. THE NERVE.

Well, it’s an excuse Jethro can sell. Can’t win without our starting QB.
