You are exactly right.

I bought the car 33 years ago when I was in high school for $500. It was my daily driver on and off for 20 years before I sold it.

Sometimes I do really stupid things...

Nice OTP. I had a 66 years ago. Light in the back end but those little 289 motors were about as good as they come. Lots of HP and they ran forever. Good little cars. I still miss mine too.
