What Tebow has learned is what so many others have learned...it's one thing to change the mechanics in practice, but in a game it's very difficult to not revert back.

Supposedly Romo had a pretty big windup and that is what he focused on for 3 years while he was on the bench and then got it.

YR

If it weren't for his fan base, Tebow would be on somebody's roster now at the end of his tutelage as a quarterback prospect. He needed to sit on someone's bench for three to four years to learn how to throw accurately and the proper mechanics of throwing the football.

I don't fault Tebow, as I fault his fan base. I support Tebow, but I also knew/know he has a long way to go, and it would have been better had he taken the Romo and Rodgers route, sitting a while and learning the position.

As for his quarterback coaching saying he's changed, that remains to be seen. What's his coach going to say, really? "I'm sorry. I've tried and tried and tried to change Tebow's throwing motion and his release point, but I give up."

The same could be said for turning Gavin Escobar into an NFL quarterback. They're at about the same stage right now.

No, they're not.

Tim Tebow is quite possibly the worst NFL quarterback I've ever seen. Just basic throwing mechanics that 1/2 this board could perform, he was entirely incapable. Missing guys by five feet that are right in front of him.

In college, you can just throw it up for grabs and your talented receiver will win. In the NFL, you have to be pinpoint accurate, and he's WAY not.

First, I've never said Tebow was a great quarterback. In fact, I've said he is an awful passer.

Second, I was commenting on your comparison to Escobar. No, Tebow - for all his faults - is better than Escobar.

This is the kind of statement that shows how much people completely lose their minds talking about Tim Tebow.

Is he a great NFL QB? No.
Is he starting-QB-for-an-NFL-team caliber? No.
But is he "quite possibly the worst NFL quarterback" ever seen? Unless you started watching football this past January, no way.

Let me remind every one of Matt Barkley's career stats: 30-50, 300 yards (6 yards per attempt). 0 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 3 fumbles, 43.7 career rating.

Can someone please explain to me how that is so much better than a guy with 173-361, 2,422 yards (6.7 yards per attempt) with 17 TD's against 9 INT's, 75.3 rating?
