I think this Hurd kid is the best young WR Dallas has had in a long time not on the field. He has produced every time his number has been call in camp , Preseason and now in very limited duty in a real game. At some point does Bill give him a shot? Will it take an injury or next year? It'll be a waste to see some one else get him next year if it happens!

Well his best work has been on special teams so far. I don't care about him becoming a starter.

if hurd gets past owens, glenn, or crayton on the depth chart - then one of those three went down with an injury.

no thanks.

i don't mind seeing hurd in limited action. it means we have quality depth. otherwise, we're $%#@ed.

All he's done is adjust to a jump ball Romo threw him. It was good, but I bet you money most of our, or any, WRs make that play. He wasn't any more spectacular in preseason than Crayton.

We have no evidence to suggest he is better than the three in front of him, outside of 'oh but TO is helping him."

That's logical thinking but it's screwed. Given his young achievements one would tend to agree but on a closer look I see Donald Driver but taller.

Hurd's an undrafted rookie, give him another year or 2 minimum before you expect much outa him. I don't think he's expecting to light up the box scores yet either but wants to be in the team's plans for the future.

Yep. I totally agree. It's nice to have him here and he looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Undrafted free agent wide outs of note: Drew Pearson and Rod Smith.
