Heres the other thing, are they adding up the wins at the end of the season when the records are final, or they talking about the wins when they play the team?

It's always when they play the team as it should be.

Which team has the superior OL?
Which team has the best WR duo?
Which team has the better TE at this point?
Which team has the better DTs?

We have more depth at DE and both LB groups leave much to be desired.

I don’t see even talent at all, especially not for playoff football, running and stopping the run.
They had them on the ropes in Philly. The Cowboys got all nervous and twitchy at the end and blew it.

These teams could play ten times and split. That’s pretty even if you ask me Chuck.

“Or something” does not negate the use of a specific word.
It does.
You can cherry pick a single word. But if the same sentence includes "or something"....it is no longer a "specific" idea or word. You cherry picked a word...

Did you graduate from a college?

It’s not cherry-picking when one describes the exact circumstance. He used the word “city” specifically. That’s irrefutable. We have the receipts, as it were. In fact, few things are more specific than pointing out the city in which the Eagles play. Even using the word “Philadelphia” would have lacked such a degree of specificity because, in the context of our discussion, Philadelphia can refer to either the city or the team. “The city” in which the Eagles play can refer only to the city.

FYI…

I have a Master’s degree in English. I graduated from a top 50 university globally. And I’m a published author.

Go home, Philly troll.

Hurts sucks, and it was on full display. He'd be flipping burgers without the Tush Push, where all of his stats are concentrated.
All his stats are on one yard runs they've done about 15 times?

The refs are lousy but those trying to blame the birds success on that are idiots.
They win; usually by either making more plays or by making fewer mistakes.
That is how talented teams win and get somewhere
The boys have to learn how to do the same; make more plays and fewer mistakes

Hilarious thread.

Dolphins, Cowboys and Bills were flat-out robbed by awful officiating vs Philly. KC had the worst case of dropsies you'll ever see vs them as well.

So you can be fooled by the W/L record or you can watch the games.

Vegas isn't fooled. The 49ers are favored to win in Philly next Sunday.

Anyone who's been paying attention knows the Eagles and their 10-1 record aren't actually legitimate.

Not to say they're not a good team... they are. But they're more like "7-4 good," not "10-1 good."

They're a VERY lucky team that's squeaking by week after week. 7-1 record in 1-score games.

If I'm whining and "not giving them their due," then so are the folks at the Vegas sportsbooks. I like the company I'm in there.
Pretty large spread if you go by the theory you get 3 points at home. If it was in SF they'd be favored by 6

They will come crashing back to Earth once the impact of that ridiculous contract starts to cause their talent to erode. The key to staying good while your QB is making 50-60 million a year is good drafting. Philly's been really good at trading.. drafting not so much.. At least not as good as the Cowboys. But credit to them.. They are a very good team right now. And either lucky as hell or they got pictures on Goodell with the special treatment they get from the refs.

Cap hits by year
23- 6.15
24- 13.56
25- 21.77
26- 31.77

It jumps in ‘27 but they’ll renegotiate.

Dak is at 26 mil this year, 59 next year. Unless Dallas gives Dak a long deal the cap hit they have to deal with will be significantly higher than Hurts’ due to less years to spread the hit over.

Renegotiate with an extension and void years. Their next big challenge will be replacing Cox/Kelce/Johnson/Bradberry/Slay…it will be tough but they’ve got the gm for it.

IF the cap keeps going up as predicted they will be able to do it. Now things could crash like it did during Covid but other than that its a plan that is working is it not?
So many here hate the birds so much they cannot see straight. They are a very good team playing very well. Hurts does not have the pretty stats but they are winning and frankly baring a collapse they are the favorites for the SB right now. SF is to be blunt the only NFC team that is on a par with them. Everyone else is a step behind. Our problem is we are not disciplined; stupid mistakes and penalties hit us again and again and most of the time even the penalties are valid.
