Hurts more than likely will play against the Giants this week

The iggles are stuck between a rock and a hard place; they can't just forfeit this game because they need to win. And with Hurts already being out several weeks and potentially getting another two weeks off due to a bye, they don't want him going into the playoffs cold. And then you risk him getting Hurt again this week if you play him. ......tough, but glad its not my problem.

I hope Hurts does play so his shoulder is at risk for re-injury. :D

They can design plays to lower the % of him falling on his right shoulder and make him release the ball quickly. Only take off when he has a clear lane and run out of bounds etc

Yes but then that is playing against his strength. It is Hurts ability to run using RPO that leads to big plays down the field, his overall ability to run is what gives them big plays. Take that from him, he is no longer the same QB

I’ll believe it when I see it
They may dress him just in case but I doubt they put him in unless they’re losing and we are winning

Not necessarily

philly has more problems than just their qb

they’ve lost some key parts to injury

Agree. NFC title game is up for grabs. If Dak plays his best and we end the tip-ball nonsense then why not Dallas?

Philly media all think Hurts won't play Sunday. I guess he's still not cleared yet and apparently still needs to get a MRI?

TBH... I don't think he plays on Sunday. FO has still not been forthcoming on the extent of the injury. Basically, Philthy runs a high school offense, and Hurts strength is the read option. He won't last long in this league. Ask RG3

Silly. He will still get hit and tackled and will fall on that injured shoulder. I don't think he plays and it is possible that he is done for the year but FO will not divulge the extent of the injury which I believe is more serious than reported.

If Jalen Hurts has another limited practice today, I wonder if that will have impact on whether or not he is a game time decision or if they officially list him as likely to play today.

Why is it silly? He won't be playing at 100% but an intelligent individual, which Hurts appears to be, will be able to lower the chances of injury by not putting himself in a position to continually fall on his right shoulder.

This is the same point I was making. Which is that even back up players can hit in the NFL. All it could take it one wrong hit or a few hard hits to rough up Hurt's shoulder. Now the question is will they risk Hurts by allowing him to run and use his feet like he is usually does. Or tell him to dial back on the running to lessen his chances of getting hit.

If it's a long term injury then that's a different ball game. But if it's a question of playing through the pain barrier and being smart with his decision making to decrease the probability of him getting injured...then he plays. They have seen Minshew play the past few games and they want the one seed.

His game is his legs... he is not a drop-back passer. He is a running QB and he will be tackled. I thought my reply was clear.

He has a decent arm which is underestimated by many for whatever reason and he can take off with his legs when the lanes open up to the sidelines after they have established the run.

Comparing him to RG3 is silly.

So he will play tentative and timid. Got it!

Hurts is a better passer than the likes of RG3 and Cam yet people just want to lump him in there with them so they can downplay how well he has played for whatever reason. Is Tad a poster on here? There's a lack of objectivity on this forum but that's usually the case...

A win is not very important to the Giants so if I was them, my main goal in this game would be to rough Hurts up as much as possible. Not saying anything against the rules or malicious in nature. I would just have my guys trying to get as many hard hits on him as they can. I would tell then not to let up and if they get a few penalties, not a big deal. I would want him still hurting for a potential playoff matchup. That’s just me. He should not be on the field yet so if you put him out there, I’m going to make you pay the price for it.
