Hypothetically speaking

they'd rank as one of the best....considering the QBs they would have faced...and the head-coaches.

in team history,they are behind Landry's Doomsday and Jimmy's 'Boys....but I'd have them ahead of Switzer's D.

1.Doomsday II(SBXII)
2.Doomsday(SBVI)
3.90s back2back
4.Doomsday Rising(LIII)...if it happens.
5.XXX

it could happen.
week to week our D just gets better...and our run game is heating up.
we handle our business the next 5 weeks, maybe we're the team no one wants to play.

One of the aspects about the 92-93 defenses is they were bend don't break. If you didn't watch them when they were playing live, you miss the fact the other team would move the ball, and then the defense would hold the line at some point.

This is the perfect analogy. Another similarity is the horizontal speed those linebackers had, just like the ones on this year’s team.

This year’s defense is very good - not quite the 1992 Cowboys’ defense but plenty of similarities. As you wrote, how Zeke is used is very similar to Emmitt as well.

Anytime a team wins the Super Bowl they get compared to the all time great teams. If this team won the whole thing then this defense would too. Assuming of course that we didn’t beat KC in a 49-42 shoot out.
