I’ll admit it. I’m an addict.

I told my girlfriend early on in the relationship that I will be watching football all day on Sunday and that she should expect this and it has nothing to do with not wanting to be with her. I kept repeating this over and over and now after two years, she allright with it. She just goes and does something else on Sunday. It's great.

Today, my gf mentioned how much she misses watching the Cowboys.

She's a very gentle spirit...who sits there screaming for blood during games.

Best comment ever from her...the first game she watched was the Monday nighter vs the Commanders :banghead: ...when we lost, she turned to me and asked "Does someone get punished for this?"

Parcells should hire her as an assistant.

Second funniest comment....after watching another QB scramble...she emphatically stated, "Hey, he's not allowed to do that!"

She had gotten so accustomed to seeing Bledsoe stand in the pocket like a tree that she just assumed, the QB couldn't run with the ball.

So, I lucked out. I have a wonderful woman who also LOVES the Cowboys.

LMAO

My favorite wife quote:

"I get so frustrated watching this because they wont let them run, just noc them done ever fewfeet.

My wife is a Cowboys fan but we have to watch the game in different rooms because I tend to lose my religion.:laugh2:

Two things: NFL Shortcuts and Tivo. I have been able to satisfy my off-season appetite by watching the games from last year (wins only, of course). NFL Shortcuts from DirecTV play the entire game in 30 minutes (without the walk to the huddle and the commercials). It's awesome. It has worked out so well, in fact, that next season I am planning to get a Tivo with a bigger hard drive so I can record all the shortcuts for all 32 teams.

I got my wife (then girlfriend) into the game in two ways.

First, I brought home those $1 pools that let you pick four teams to win $10. That was interesting enough to her that she started to watch the scores then eventually watch and root for the games.

Secondly, after we were married and started our family, I turned Sundays into more of a family event with the kids - to include a huge family breakfast, grilling before the game, throwing the football around in the backyard, etc.

Now it is something that everyone in the family looks forward to - the kids are indoctrinated as Cowboys' fans and, after 10 years, my wife even pulls for the team and has some understanding of the rules of the game.

God, it’s killing me! Let’ getting it rolling. We’ve got around 5 months till we see the boys in action again. I need my fix. I’m jonesing big time. I’ll admit it, I ‘m totally addicted to cowboys football.

I just watched that replay of Roy causing the Broncos to fumble on the 10yd line and Tnew recovering. What an awesome play, I mean #%*! unreal. I can’t believe we didn’t get any points out of that. We have improved so much. Just a few more depth issues and yes yes yes. There will be a screaming “yes” in a lot of games and maybe the big "yes" at the end of it all.

Here’s a hypothetically question. If some judge ordered you to choose between divorcing your wife or following the cowboys, I mean he said you would have to stop cold turkey or your lovely wife would go bye-bye (not your kids of coarse), what would you choose? I mean honestly. For those of you not married think of your girlfriend (only more nagging) :)

If I have to leave my wife. Can I still keep my girlfriend?

Well I'm not married yet because I'm only 18 and still in high school. I have joked with my gf in the past that if it was between her and the Cowboys, I'd choose the Cowboys. Sometimes I don't think she knows if I'm serious or not lol.

Thats sad...When u can pick the cowboys over your wife,...then you know its worth it....Just kidding....I wouldnt pick anything over my wife...Anyone who would is seriously ill or has a ****ty marriage.......Ok now shes gone....Of course I pick the BOYS!!!!!
