Its too early to talk about a second contract. He has seemingly disappeared but that is probably due to injury and his changing role in the defense as a result of injuries to others. Quinn stopped moving him around and put him as the FT edge rusher for a few weeks. He's not big enough to take on left tackles all game. So, some of his lack of production is Quinn mis-usng him.

That said, he has a lot of growing up to do and needs to get off social media.

He's lost a step for whatever reason. I've seen him multiple weeks now get outraced to the edge by QBs. His game is based purely on speed. And it drops off significantly if he loses something off his fastball. Win % means nothing if you don't make the play. As evidenced by the ineffectiveness of this defense as of late.

Yeah and both of those guys alway have little nagging injuries and take a lot of abuse.

Problem is he’s average at linebacker. Nothing special.

While I'd prefer to see a bit more media restraint from this young & relatively-unsophisticated man, it's inarguable that he is the heart & soul of the defensive squad...and its best player, by a long shot.

Lawrence Taylor played at around 240, Derrick Thomas and Von Miller both played around 250. I don't think it's that. I hope and pray I'm wrong because I love Micah, but he could be another Dez Bryant where mentally he takes himself out of the game because he plays with too much emotion. I don't think he's been the same since Philthy (Vic Fangio) showed all the defensive coordinators how to play him back on October 16th. We need him so I hope we're all (the ones who are now doubting him) wrong.
 
Man. I knew some fans would end up turning on Parsons at some point. It happens to ALL Cowboys. I mean, just look at what happened with Emmitt.

But turning on the guy in Year 2 when some were proclaiming him the best Defensive Player the Cowboys ever had?
