Malik Davis had a decent year with his limited playing time. He averaged 4.2 yards per carry on 38 attempts with 1 TD. He’s cheap, dependable and seems durable so far.

Hes wonderful to have but he’s going to get dinged up eventually if we don’t have another complimentary piece. Don’t forget he’s also coming back from a big injury and blocking is not his forte.

While I do agree with Zekes release, we need to invest in an early pick in this years draft. I want a physical runner that punishes defenses like early Zeke, Barber, and Murray. We need some toughness to this team. While I’m sad about Zekes release, the future also excites me

I agree. He hasn't been an every down back through college or the NFL, and I suspect being able to play with fresh legs has been a contributing factor to his success in the NFL. I think maybe 15-16 carries a game would be appropriate, with a complimentary RB getting another 10-12.
