I’m not a believer that Pollard is an every down back

Hes wonderful to have but he’s going to get dinged up eventually if we don’t have another complimentary piece. Don’t forget he’s also coming back from a big injury and blocking is not his forte.

While I do agree with Zekes release, we need to invest in an early pick in this years draft. I want a physical runner that punishes defenses like early Zeke, Barber, and Murray. We need some toughness to this team. While I’m sad about Zekes release, the future also excites me
Nothing Jerry Dumbo GM Jones does excites me. Infuriate, and exacerbate.

Pollard could not be used on 3rd and 2 or inside the 5 yard line, has broken ankle and fibula. $10M dollar waste.

quit cryin'
Have never cried for the Cowboys because the real Dallas Cowboys have never let me down. Never will cry for Jerry Dumbo GM Jones and the Arlington Jonesboys because I won't give them the opportunity to let me down.

Go with that broke leg RB in the NFL and see how that works out. Better get Williams and draft 2 other RBs. Might hit on 1 or the other. But, trusting your running game to a RB coming off a broke ankle and lower leg is football insanity.

You all are getting caught up with the Garrett offense offense with Murray and Zeke. Run your bell cow behind the Tyron, Zach, and Frederick. Those days are over. Pollard will split carriers with a rookie running back. The offense will run through three wideout and lots of 12 personnel. Pollard will get like 10-12 carries and 5 catches a game. The Cowboys want to improve on running the ball in certain situations. They are not gonna become the pony express. I bet Dak will actually throw the football more especially when they get that third receiver.

How in the world did you miss that KC has the best QB in the game? I mean, really, how did you pick them for a comparison?

When you have a top 3 QB, everything changes. Needs are different, schemes are different, just everything is different.
Did you guys go to school? Can you read ? The OP was saying Pollard isn't an every down back. I just stated that an every down back isn't necessary. Teams have great success (like KC, San Fran, Philly,Cincy) without using 1 bellcow, every down back. What's to argue about, guy ? Switch to decaf.

The concept doesn't exist in the modern NFL. You need two competent backs at a minimum and three is preferred. I don't even consider Derrick Henry to be a good example of a one back system because he would always get shut down in the Titans playoff losses or got hurt at the end of seasons. You need someone else always

Very strange response.

Having a top 3 QB makes other aspects of your O not as important.

You should really think and examine a bit more before making posts that make you look quite foolish.

He’s not a full time back. They’ll miss zeke when pollard wears down by week 8 abd dak gets hit a bunch of times after missed blocks by pollard.

They’ll miss zeke
I can't imagine any circumstance in which they will ever miss Zeke. A 2nd or 3rd rounder will be able to replace any on field production. And at a fraction of the cost.

The only ones that will miss Zeke is the Salvation Army when Zeke won't be there to jump into a bucket and increase donations.

All I'm saying is that an every down back is not a requirement to winning. You're right about Mahomes but Andy Reid's idea of successful offense is to platoon a few capable backs. Its won him 2 SBs. Bell Cow RBs are very rare nowadays
and in the 356 years he coached prior to Mahomes being his QB, it won him zero super bowls.

We're apparently approaching the draft with intentions of drafting a RB, WR or TE with our #1 pick. Other than that, still working on a FA signing that may or may not materialize. Options are seemingly thin at this point in time.

They will add a FA and a draft pick that they like. Probably wouldn't draft a RB until the 4th round. This draft is deep with RB's and WR's.

You don't want to put all your eggs on him being an every down back. That is why you draft one.

The days of every down backs are not necessary any longer.
