They're pretty close to the same team but everyone changes in the offseason some and by the way we are not the same team with the same offense the same coordinator we've added to our team our defense had a good draft and we have players playing at a high level and stacking W's as you say.. I mean are you saying that being 12 and five last year, the year before and now starting out two and oh is not also rolling the Ws??

Just saying don't underestimate the Cowboys have changed some of it is because we've been bounced by the 49ers the last two off seasons and I believe we've improved since last year so this should be a good match up even though we're gonna be without Trayvon diggs possibly TylerB,, however we should have back Tyler Smith Donovan Wilson and Brandin cooks..
My post was solely in response to the OP not being impressed watching the 49ers.

And yes, to your point, the Cowboys are a good match for the 49ers. Should be a great game. Hopefully we see it again in the playoffs.

The 9ers are for real.
They haven't played in a Super Bowl the past two seasons which is the anti-argument against the Cowboys. You saying that some Cowboys fan was saying instead that the 49'ers were NOT, instead, a good team?

Right now, they are one of the top 3 NFC teams...so are the Eagles and Cowboys.

I think the Cowboys are presently playing at a higher level...you not? Why, and don't toss stereotype around instead.

Why not with top seed and San Francisco having to instead go through the Eagles?

Purdy looks awful though. They have no vertical passing game.

A screen game only gets you so far - we see it every year with SF.
He looks awful? That’s extreme. They nearly got to the SB last year with Purdy. They are physical, fast and talented. I can’t stand them but they have a very good team.

Catch up...get a life.

Alright, he's your convenient hero worship excuse to use for ticket aboard the Cowboy put down clan...go back to your Hatfield or McCoy groupies.

He was out how long with injury of his own in his own past? He has been the starting quarterback for exactly how many full seasons?

I won't suggest catching up, get a sensible mind that you call your own.

He hasn't been into lows and they are coming down the pike and YOU can bet on that. Some fowl weather will be hitting him and the team of San Francisco.

The professional sport of the NFL has to by it's nature, be dependent upon a huge list of momentum changers.

One can observe how those are handled or one can blame chosen excuses upon another...which is nothing above a cop out and current hero worship affair, instead.

Yea, despite all involved, our Dallas Cowboys still have to handle all obstacles they encounter. Not all instead involves ignorant learning.

You're a weird guy.

This is true but they're making out this team to be some generational can't stop juggernaut and I don't see that...

the guy's passes were all over the place he dumped down like 70% of them and his great talent around him took the ball for yac yards almost every play except for one good nice throw a lot of them were not... he reminds me of Alex Smith not Joe Montana...
so let's calm down already.. His advantage is his coach probably second in the NFL to Andy Reid and designing plays and game plans and in game adjustments to take full advantage of a team. they were playing at home in great weather against the giants and for 3 qtrs the giants still had a chance... we were playing in the rain on the road game one with no preseason against Saquon Barkley and a bag of chips as ESPN stated and we blew them out 40 to nothing! we're getting no credit from anyone they're all saying the same thing oh it was just the giants, well isn't that what we're talking about here, the way the 49ers at home in great weather with no saquon Barkley the game was still in question in the third quarter where ours we stole the giants souls on the road in the rain when they had all offseason to prepare for us at home...:omg:

Yes the 49ers are one of the top teams in the NFC and the NFL as we are and without Trayvon diggs and TylerB we're gonna be at a slight disadvantage but I am also sick and about hearing how great they are.... they're not blowing teams out of the water they are very talented but this talk about Brock Purdy as if he was the next Joe Montana and I watched the games if this was Prescott we'd be talking about how all or I say most of his passes the receiver had to adjust to catch it, it wasn't in stride, they were mostly dumped downs they were low risk passes... I mean it's not the same things we have to hear about Prescott when he has a game where he throws near 80% and that's all they talk about??

Now we're talking about Brock Purdy with a different standard and I don't like it that's my problem, yes, respect the 49ers it's going to be a tough game... they knocked us out of the playoffs the last two years.. And by the way you saying you don't see any after effects of his surgery I don't think he's as accurate at all and maybe he's getting back into it now but from what I saw last night from the little I watched and I didn't even watch the whole game that should tell you something in the small sample size that I watched most of his passes were not very accurate... he just had great talent to reach back and catch these footballs or take a 5 yard dump off and take it 40 yards I mean most of debo Samuels yards were all yac.

It's their play caller slash offensive coordinator slash head coach that worries me more in the way he designs the run plays,
a lot like what Mike McCarthy 's doing now and he's using all his talent and McCaffrey and debo Samuels to really get the defense moving and then set you up for the pass plays. So talent wise we're pretty equal.. I think we've been out coached the last couple years and it may have been more to do with Kellen Moore and the way we were running the offense... I think this year if you look at the way McCarthy is calling plays it sure looks a whole lot like what I saw last night from the 49ers, getting all his players involved in short passes and run the football and get our better players on the move so they can't be covered all the time...
No I don’t think they’re unbeatable. We are just as good as they are and have played better football. I don’t say they are good to diminish how good the Cowboys are. I think our youth is older now and it sucks with no Diggs but I like our chances to win just as much as the 9ers.

I mean did you watch last night? He was terrible. They had something like 180 YAC

He can't throw in the face of pressure and doesn't have the arm strength to get the ball vertical with any consistency. He makes a couple nice throws here and there, but he was poor last night.

The 49ers have the most points scored of any team in the league. Cowboys are 2nd.

The 49ers are 2nd in points differential. Cowboys are 1st.
Is this before or after last nights game? They have scored the most points through two games or 3?

I don’t knock quarterbacks for the talent they have. He shouldn’t be penalized because his team is good and can get YAC. He’s playing smart football and doing what it takes to win.

The 49ers are a really good team that plays with a lot of attitude. They remind me of the 1990s Cowboys.

It seems so obvious how to stop them, but most teams can't. The like to get the ball to their playmakers who are exceptional at yards after catch. You saw Deebo last night breaking tackles and gaining an extra 15 to 20 yards after contact. The same with Kittle. But there is also the threat of the run. The run the football very well so LBs are always looking for CMC.

Their defensive line is like the Cowboys. They get a lot of pressure from everywhere. They blitz more than Dallas but the want the QB to get rid of it early while their DBs play tight coverage underneath. If you can block them up, you can get the ball downfield. The Giants OL which was a disaster last night could not block and the QB knew it. The Giants were rushing their throws and it hurt their offense.

The Cowboys OL, if healthy, can block the 49ers defense. I think they can make some running room for Pollard and their RBs. I also think they can give Dak time to throw downfield. It is imperative to hit a couple of big plays on them early to keep their LBs and DBs from getting too close to the LOS.

To stop their offense, I think you need to get on Kittle and Samuel early. Don't give Purdy those cheap underneath throws.

Held the Cowboys back...if your focus wasn't on the game, watch any cheerleaders? As to relevant points...Purdy is only making $900,000 for this entire season. Think that naivitee in experience will catch up as well. Isn't a Troy Aikman or a Joe Montana or Steve Young as well.
yeah, i watched the game and not the cheerleaders. Yeah, Dak held the team back, he threw two picks, they only had like 30yrds more then the cowboys and only won by 7.

Y'all are complete bonkers. 49ers are top 3 in the NFC. If you're not impressed, you may not understand what you are watching.

They impressed me.
They, like us, seem to be ALL IN from a team attitude perspective.
That defense, like ours, is for real and the o-line/QB are going to have their hands full.
They have some real playmakers on the O, with the potential to help negate our pass rush.

It's going to be a dogfight with either team capable of walking off with the W. A legit early season test of our O and D.

They think they’re all that. I’m not impressed. I hope we put the whoop on them. Not just beat them. Crush them.
well you dont know football then.

They are 3-0, top nothc defense, amazing talent in the skill positions, a young QB playing very well, and they are 3-0. Not sure what is not to be impressed with.

49ers are a solid team on both sides of the football. They are certainly beatable though but it won't be a cake walk. Cowboys will have to play turnover free football to beat them. If they did last year then they would have beat them. I think McCarthy as a play caller will be a big difference in beat the 49ers.

They didn't play great for 3 quarters last night (I didn't watch the 4th), but they are definitely dangerous!
I get why you would say they didn't play great, but I think their style is just deceptive.

They did this all last year. In games, they'd start out solid and then strangle out the opponent in the 2nd half.

For example, it was 17-16 vs Seattle in last year's wildcard at half. Ended 41-23.

It's methodical.

Wow. OK. I sure am...completely impressed

49ers w/Purdy are 9-0.

Here are 49ers points scored for every Purdy regular season game:

2022
33
35
21
37
37
38

2023
30
30
30

And their defense is suffocating.
I live 90 minutes from where the Niners play.... so I watch every Niners game. I said very early last year after Purdy took over that he just has it. He has this knock for avoiding the rush, scrambling but unlike Fields, hes still looking down field to make a play. The niners got so damn lucky in that they swung and missed big with Lance, but oh so lucked out drafting Purdy.

Purdy has been 9-0 in his regular season starts. The ultimate stat is not arm strength, yardage or TDs. It’s wins. Joe Montana had a noodle arm all the way to a bunch of SB wins.
