I actually thought Jacques Reeves played pretty well....

all Plax had was inside position, Reeves was right w/ him
Hell, if he'd had him beat and Plax hadn't fell, Reeves would have been in perfect position to pick off the pass.

Reeves was like the Flash making up all that ground to get to the ball so quickly

Lol what game were you guy's watching? Reeves was getting dominated by. Burres the whole freaking game. Like Madden pointed out if the idiot Tom Coughlin would of just called the right plays to get the ball to Burress he would of had plenty of td's. The reason why you didn't see Plax abuse Reeves more in the game was because the giants were idiots and didnt take advantage of the mis-match they had all game long. Eli was making bad decsions in the red-zone also.

Yeah I think there was a decent chance he would of got that interception even if Plex wouldn't have slipped, he seemed to have read what was going on well.

Other then that, he played about as well as I thought he would before the game.

He played ok. I sure wouldn't want him out there week after week though.

Meh, honestly I was more impressed with his two breakups. That one he would have wrapped up, but it was on Plax.

The most impressive thing on that play was the amazing tackle by Canty.

Reeves played well for his first start...he played better than Henry for sure. I don't see how anyone could argue that point.

You are right.

Reeves did play better than Henry.

maybe if we had a safety who can cover worth a damn (roy) then reeves could play closer to the wr?

I agree with you. I thought Roy and Henry were much bigger problems.

I thought Hamlin played good too.

Bingo!

Reeves and Hamlin (outside of the stoopid penalty) played well.

Henry and our probowl safety? Ugh.

Reeves was dominated like all of our CB's largely because we could not get any consistent pressure on Eli Manning.

When you give Eli Manning time (like he had most of the game) he can throw the ball just about as good as his older brother can. Where Eli struggles is when you put a little pressure on him, then he cracks.

I'm not sure how we can say any single Cowboys defensive player played good last night considering the amount of points given up. Eli abused the secondary and had plenty of time to do so on most downs.

Bad Defensive effort all the way around.

Where do you guys come up with this crap? He was scared? He was owned? Give me a break. Plax scored on Reeves once, just once. He gave him a cushion because he was told to do so. Speculating that Plax could have caught additional touchdowns on Reeves is just that, speculation...

On the TD that Plex did score on him, Roy was suppose to provide underneath help but was late getting there. If Reeves was scared it might of been knowing that Roy was the one who was suppose to be giving him help.

This says it all.

It's only because we won that this isn't seen as a bigger issue. Our defense, save one or two plays, stunk up the joint last night. You know its bad when you have to rely on the the offensive line to make false starts and holding penalties in order to stop the offense. The Giants moved down the field on our defense with ease last night. Reeves did the best he could, but I really didn't expect him to do much against Plax anyway. If Manning and Coughlin had a clue, Plax would have walked out of there with 4 TDs or more.

Was it Canty or Ratliff?

But you are right, it was a great tackle!:lmao2:

Honestly, I liked what I saw from Reeves. Other than one play, I like that he turns his head and plays the ball. Plaxico has repeatedly beat all our corners not named Terrence Newman, and all things considered, I liked what I saw from Reeves.

He played a little off some, which I think was as much the call, but I think sometimes people forget that the other guy gets paid too. I was actually encouraged by some of the things he did.

Now if we can just get this pass rush that we were promised....

So did Plaxico !

:)
