I admit I should not have bought what was being sold

The bottom line is that the Cowboys didn't match the intensity of the Packers. Got punched in the mouth and didn't get up swinging...that's a reflection of the coaching.
We didn't set the tone, and it was proven time and time again when we had to play good teams. It's like they go through the motions and expect to win just because of the star on their helmet. Instead of going out every game and having to prove to themselves why there is a star on the side of their helmet.
Ok, but then ask yourself why. Answer: No LB's and no dominant 3 tech.

See all of you guys next season. Have Dak beat up another broken team and you're all singing his tune again. ;)

I admit, I was close to believing this year. But wouldn't cross the neutral line until I saw a big play off win. I did like what I was seeing from Dak during the season. Really thought he finally made that last step.

Ever since the 2021 season I knew he just isn't up to the task and wondered why Jerry likes him so much. All I know is this: not even a 17-0 season will make me believe in this guy again.

Yes the defense, yes the coaching, yes all those bad ref decisions... Blablabla. It all starts with the QB position. Even IF Dak wins a Superbowl over the next years (hahaha) I'll say he stinks, simply because he will have wasted 10 or more years until then.

This game is played with 90% mentality and 10% physicality. If a player can't get themselves geared up to lay it all on the line for one of biggest games of their life than I don't know the answer. This team sank as a unit not because of no LB's or a dominant 3 tech. They know what their weaknesses are but still couldn't find a way to overcome them. Maybe when they kept having mental breakdowns in zone coverage, they might have gotten an idea to go back to man and play to a strength. Sitting in zone with no pass rush was a great idea. By the time the Packers ran the ball down our throat our defense was tired and demoralized, basically gave up mentally.
There were a ton of reasons why we lost and can't just point the finger at one thing...The way I see it was they started the game like they were afraid to lose it. They weren't mentally prepared.

Let me repeat. WE HAVE NO LB's. Manalive, I have no comprehension as to how you don't think that's a factor. We did not disrupt the LOS. Dominant 3 tech changes that.

It's not about laying it all on the line, it's about having weaknesses that GB exploited. We can try as hard as we want, that doesn't help when you have no LB's.

I will admit it. I bought the bill of goods. I believed this team was different and capable of at the very least being capable of a deep playoff run. I was dead wrong.

And amazingly, until this season I usually started the season saying, “I will believe it when it happens.” I bought that this team, this coaching staff was positioned to be different. Again, I was as wrong as that putrid performance yesterday.

As of last night, I am returning to “I will believe it when it happens.” Not before.

For me, “buying in” won’t happen until I see some meaningful changes made at the top of this organization. An organization led by a man that never takes ultimate responsibility for his team’s failures and will never make a fundamental change in the way he operates. It won’t matter who is coaching or QBing this team until that changes.

How about you? What will it take to make you believe again?
Same as you. I’ll be a doubting Thomas until they reach the conf championship and we both know that will never happen regardless of the next head coach because Jerry or his son or grandson will always insist on making final football decisions. It’s been broken for almost three decades and Jerry defiantly gives every fan the finger by making zero changes to the root cause of everything.

You can repeat all you want. But, we went all year with no LB's and a dominant 3 tech. Most of the time the team overcame that weakness by keeping the defense off the field or by getting a lead to where teams had to play catch up. This team was on edge from the start and didn't respond well. If you want to blame it on having no LB's than great you do that. Trying to preach to me about the physicality of X's and O's is pointless...the bottom line is that they didn't mentally execute. How many broken coverages did you see dallas get burnt on? How many times did you see Dak try to force the ball into coverage or go through his progressions and hold on to the ball too long? How did you like the play calling by MM that got our playmakers the ball in space? How about some of the bad angles and lack of tackling on defense? Normally we have a penalty issue every game, but this game wasn't called too strict, though we did have a couple that extended Packer drives. But, when a team is consistently #1 or #2 every year at committing fouls, like the cowboys are, than that's a mental problem.

As my wife enjoys telling me every January: "They do this to you every year honey."

You can repeat all you want. Good teams exploit that. Not mental.

When I see Jerry Jones step down as the GM and higher a real GM I’ll believe changes are in order, but not until then.

I never bought in and got ripped by many for it. I knew there was an issue with this team after the AZ and SF debacles. Some of you never learn. You keep getting pulled in and burned.

Could not have said it better myself.
