I like the one maybe two series we used to do with Aikman and I think Romo too.Excellent point. Why would they play him in a meaningless game to hopefully prepare him for a superior team in week 1? What's important is that he doesn't get injured. Not the week 1 results. Then the immunity kicks in.
I know...an injury can happen any moment why risk one if you don;t have to. But that fits MY point...the injury can happen any moment, from home to warm ups.
So instead of giving him some PT in "live practice" (easier) games...we're gonna expect him to instantly fire up? Against NFCE rival and SB champs? Sounds even riskier to me.
