I am really trying to understand our QB

The bad part about Dak last night was that an undrafted rookie QB made more plays than he did to win the game. Dak is an 11yr vet that should have shown little man up.

Yes the defense failed, but the opportunities we did get, we had to punt after dak had one of many bad throws.

I cant believe he is an 11yr vet, and I watched Dak have such a worried or scared look on his face at times during the game, while the "one read and run" kid had the ******* smile on his face all night.

We sucked as a team last night, but this one is on dak in the grand scheme of things. A close game like this, at the end of the day, the ball is still in your hand, leaving your hand, based on the decision you make, that pings in your brain.

Tampa was almost just as bad, but atleast their QB (who looks like he was just called out of a high school 5th period class room to play QB for the bucs) out played dak.

I am really sick of dallas constant QB stupidity. The 20+ years between Dak and Romo, i dont know who was worse.

I have faith that our next 10+ year 4th or 5th round QB is sitting somewhere in a small college, will once again provide false hopieum and divide the fan base of supporters and non supporters.

I dont know if I have another 10+ years of mental for that. And you all know that is what's coming after dak leave, it never stops.
Wasn't his best game but far from a call out and problem

We have players like dak saying goti. No wonder teams just want to stomp our teeth in. Dallas is super cringe at times.
yes this is what I have been saying. Shotty should have shut this goti crap down as it just gives the other team more motivation to beat them.
and apparently it doesnt motivate anyone on our team lol.

Dak played poor. But he hasn’t played like this all year. It happens. It shouldn’t happen against the Buccs but it did.

So essentially you want Dak to outplay everyone he faces despite them playing the worst defense we’ve seen….ever.

I just don’t know what you guys watch.

Dak struggled. Horrible. But we know that hasn’t been the standard for how he has played this year. He’s been one to the few bright spots.
Way to hold Dak accountable.

But unfortunately since you were the one screaming "Get ya money Dak!", I think Dak could have 5 more games like this and you'll be running interference for him.

And if you're HONEST, Dak has had maybe 2 complete good games. He had one good half against the Texans/Giants (one game)...he's been hot/cold all season. As I said, he's not a bum but when you need him most you can count on him to let you down. $60mm, overpaid and can't live up to the contract you advocated for.

This is exactly it. The anti-Dak crowd is under the delusion that any QB Jerry and Company brings in to replace him would be better.

While everything else wrong with this team remains in place.
not extending dak would give cowboys 50 mil more for other players.
A new qb adds hope for awhile, with dak there is no hope any more.
He will never be good enough to win in playoffs, last nite with TB was a good example of Dak in playoffs.

A better HC, and DC and defense would help, but against a good team dak will always panic, and play poorly.
Because of dak being here, they have missed out on alot of good QB's when they were available.

And sure the jones boys could sign a qb who in no better (but cheaper) or maybe even worse lol.
if Anyone can pick a bad replacement for dak it is the Jones boys.

It is insane to keep paying dak 60 mil a year, it is a waste of cap $.
We could probably do as good with howell, and even better with a D.Jones or Darnold. or hey lets get the kid tampa was using last nite, he looks pretty good. 2nd game in nfl and was calm and relaxed.

Yes everything in the offense is the fault of one player.

2 INTs that hit receivers' hands are the fault of the thrower.

Simpleton thinking. The comments about what Dak's face looks light is just...really pathetic.
hit the guy on the helmet to wake him up

He's a guy with little confidence. Pressure him, and he folds; when that happens, the errors increase. With no pressure and clean pockets, he does well, but with pressure, he disappears.
Second problem: his ego; he wants to play hero ball instead of old-school run the ball, get the yards, and pass to move the chains. In his head, he believes he's elite and has to throw every down to prove it.

Look this is not to put anyone down that has mental conditions. Dak has a mental condition he’s made it public before. Sometimes he gets those eyes where it looks like his head is spinning and it’s too much for him. Kudos for him still being a successful player but being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys is tough for anyone, let alone someone with a condition.

I don't care about 30 years. I care about 2026 and we stink. I don't care about what this team did in the 90s. It has no bearings on this team that suck s.
Yes it does because the same guy is calling the shots. As long as Jerry insists on being GM then there is a connection all the way back to the late 90s.

You are just grasping at excuses because you ate the cheese yet again.

Some people, no matter how much work they put in, just can't get the results desired. There is great parity among people on this planet. It's not just about physical ability or even intelligence. It's about all things coming together. The variables are vast.

Exactly. Aikman had bad games also. This game reminded me of the game against Atlanta, 1999 week 2 after we had just beaten Washington in overtime. Aikman played worse than this, and if I'm not mistaken he's in the Hall of Fame.

Read the novel "A Tale of Two Cities" for a complete understanding of his play

Again where does this post-Dak hope come from? The Cowboys have had plenty of cap to spend in the past and have simply refused to spend. You're just going to be throwing a rookie QB out there to the wolves or signing some other team's castoff in the hopes they can succeed with the same Jerry/Stephen constructed rosters that have consistently failed the past 31 years.

Moving on from Dak now is focusing on a symptom while leaving the disease alone. Won't change a thing.

The Cowboys usually had a team that could survive a bad game from Aikman. And sometimes they didn't.

Remember the Emmitt Smith 4th-and-1 game in Philly that Dallas lost in 1995? Troy was 11/28 for 110 yards in that game; including 6/23 in the second half. Went on to win the Super Bowl.

Even the best QBs can have bad days. Seems ridiculous to hold Dak to a standard that not even Hall of Famers could uphold.
