It’s interesting to read the contradictions within many of the responses to this thread.
While Dak detractors bullet point individual/team accolades and highlight the Cowboys ability to score points in bunches, they proclaim, “If this team only had a quarterback that was worth a crap”. In doing so they are blatantly disregarding the fact the QB had to play a large role in accumulating these gaudy offensive stats.
Meanwhile, Dak backers point to the same high-ranking statistics and say, “Are you kidding me, look at all the points Dak puts up with only Shultz and Lamb not being complete garbage”. Sorry guys, but if you’re crowing about his numbers, his supporting cast MUST be doing something positive to aid in all his glory. This demographic also has a tendency to overlook his 17 INT’s this season – many being of the inexcusable variety.
I posted in another thread that I have no idea how this team scored so many points cuz the Cowboys are not exceptional anywhere on the offensive side of the ball. Is there a chance that being marginally above average across the board can get it done?
As for me, leaving the QB’s out of the equation, I’d trade skill position players with any of the four remaining playoff teams. So, I’ll side with those that believe we need more offensive weapons.
