I am sick of fans, commentators, etc. saying we don’t have enough offensive weapons

I’m assuming OP thinks it’s still rookie Zeke in the backfield and not one legged Gallup, or off the street TY..but hey to each his own
I'm assuming you don't know that only 6 teams had more rushing yards than the Cowboys this season.

I can't disagree. But the fact remains, if our QB had a good game instead of crapping the bed, we're going to the championship game despite everything you pointed out.

This may be out in left field, but it seems like our team panics in big situations. Just go back to when we played the Eagles at home and the end game mistakes that led to the Eagles almost coming back for the win. That was panic mode by both QB and coach. Now this loss to the 49ers.
Dak played bad, I’m not going to attempt to argue that. But I also don’t understand how you don’t think better WR’s that can get open would help. Ceedee is the only guy you can rely on to beat a man and get open and every defense knew that. Gallup has 0 separation skills that was only compounded by the injury and after him the offense was relying on Schultz and Noah Brown.

Do some fans that start these threads even do research? All to pile on the QB?
They're two different things.
If you think Dak is Joe Montana, you don't get it.
If you think Dak is a liability, you don't get it.

If you think we had sufficient playmakers when compared to their peers in the NFL, you're not even trying.

Kind of like our comp in the NFC, 49ers and Eagles?

ya...why should we have firepower to compete we can do it with smoke and mirrors!
Kinda odd both of them arent strapped to a massive QB contract in order to get those weapons plus defense.
But i mean yeah pretend its 1992 with no cap guys.

Despite this we still had a top 5 wr, solid oline (pass pro), 1000yd rb (who was played like a 2nd until later in the season), above avg TE core, and a top 3 defense just behind the iggles and 49ers. Too bad with Dlaw (who played ok), Zeke (terrible with injuries), and Dak (Elite at times/Joe Flacco at times) we cant afford really anything else.

Caveat though, i bet even if we didnt have all these terrible contracts, our god tier GM wouldnt put together anything close to the 49ers/iggles

And the Bengals. The Chiefs are the only exception and they have Mahomes and arguably 1 of the best offensive coaches ever. The final 4 teams are there for a reason, they built the best rosters. And the sad part is that the Cowboys are probably 2-3 players away from that yet our “GM” refuses to use free agency in any kind of meaningful way to help the team

Sad but true. We watched the same crap happen with Romo.

You can’t tell me we don’t at least have an NFC champ appearance over the last decade or so if our Owner / GM didn’t suck at roster building.

Of course a better roster would help. This isn't tennis where it's one on one. A lot of other factors are in play. Dak was at a disadvantage at the coin toss. But it is what it is.

Unfortunately our fan based is comprised of a lot of extremists. Most think Dak is either Mahomes or the worst QB in football…very, very strange.

Last year Dak has Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz, Zeke, Pollard......so stop the BS excuses that Dak doesn't have offensive weapons as that is all it is: excuses.

Lol lol I NO WEAPONS coop disapears, ZEKE too slow, Pollard was barely used

I agree, it is strange. It goes ignored, but the facts are there are 3-4 elite-ish QBs in the NFL. And even they need a bunch of weapons. It's not even debatable, look at the teams remaining.

This qb contract thing is overblown.

We could have had great weapons but we chose poorly with the money we threw at MG and Zeke. To a lesser extent Schultz.

Crux of the problem.

We know where you stand with Dak and it's been clear for awhile that you also do not get it.

It’s interesting to read the contradictions within many of the responses to this thread.

While Dak detractors bullet point individual/team accolades and highlight the Cowboys ability to score points in bunches, they proclaim, “If this team only had a quarterback that was worth a crap”. In doing so they are blatantly disregarding the fact the QB had to play a large role in accumulating these gaudy offensive stats.

Meanwhile, Dak backers point to the same high-ranking statistics and say, “Are you kidding me, look at all the points Dak puts up with only Shultz and Lamb not being complete garbage”. Sorry guys, but if you’re crowing about his numbers, his supporting cast MUST be doing something positive to aid in all his glory. This demographic also has a tendency to overlook his 17 INT’s this season – many being of the inexcusable variety.

I posted in another thread that I have no idea how this team scored so many points cuz the Cowboys are not exceptional anywhere on the offensive side of the ball. Is there a chance that being marginally above average across the board can get it done?

As for me, leaving the QB’s out of the equation, I’d trade skill position players with any of the four remaining playoff teams. So, I’ll side with those that believe we need more offensive weapons.

We had the top scoring offense in the NFL over the last 12 games of the season. We just have a QB that is way to inconsistent. You never know which Dak will show up! He played great vs a pretty good TB defense that plays zone, but then played terrible vs a really good SF defense that plays zone.
Just because Dak didn’t see the open receivers, there were guys open!! Also instead of running Zek exclusively after Pollard went down, we should have given Davis his chance. He is way faster and quicker AND and an excellent receiver.

We have weapons Moore and Dak did not use them effectively vs the friggin Whiners!!!!
I don’t know why they ,didn’t give the ball to Davis

It’s fair to point out that 3 of the 4 remaining teams have better skill players than Dallas does.

The only one that doesn’t, KC, happens to have the best QB in the league, a QB who is on a trajectory to possibly be the best ever.

None of that is a defense of Dak’s performance.

This dude really typed out we had the highest scoring offense in the NFL under Dak then typed it is Dak's fault the offense was bad.
Be freaking for real.
