I am sick of fans, commentators, etc. saying we don’t have enough offensive weapons

We had the top scoring offense in the NFL over the last 12 games of the season. We just have a QB that is way to inconsistent. You never know which Dak will show up! He played great vs a pretty good TB defense that plays zone, but then played terrible vs a really good SF defense that plays zone.
Just because Dak didn’t see the open receivers, there were guys open!! Also instead of running Zek exclusively after Pollard went down, we should have given Davis his chance. He is way faster and quicker AND and an excellent receiver.

We have weapons Moore and Dak did not use them effectively vs the friggin Whiners!!!!
This right here. Some content creators were ad nauseum going on about "the number one offense in football". Now it's morphed into "we need to get him some guys". I told them that they were whistling past the graveyard on all the interceptions. To no avail. They still insist that Prescott is a "top five quarterback". Maybe he still can be but he ain't that today. That dude is WELL OFF the reservation and he has an OC who is doing his own thing.

At this point it looks like they are simply throwing good money after bad. But I guess this is all they have left on the table. It could be that you won't be able to compile enough talent on offense to overcome the overt inconsistencies/deficiencies of both the quarterback and his coordinator.

We could have Randy Moss and Desean Jackson in their prime as our wide receivers and Dak would not hit them. There were 2 touchdowns alone in the 49ers game that were missed. The deep shot to Lamb that he caught anyway..Then the Gallup pass late in the game..Both would have gone to the house.
He was throwing against single-high MOC on 2nd and 10. He probably should've just gone to Hilton on the hinge route, which was open. Another example of trying to throw it where you probably shouldn't instead making the easier throw and matriculating the ball. Impatience got the better of him. The inconsistencies with this man...geez.

Our WRs average target separation per route run was outside the top 30. Every WR not named Lamb that saw significant snaps had a negative EPA for the season.

You can dislike the QB if you want but there is a serious problem that is actually backed by metrics…not just opinion. We can get a new QB but if we do the top priority of adding weapons to the offense doesn’t change.

The play calling and design have been terrible since the Romo days. Too many long developing routes and no emphasis on hot reads and getting rid of the ball.

Part of this is due to Romo and Dak’s inaccuracy short, but the lack of short routes kills this team. The only example I have of great play calling is the first KM game as OC against the Giants a few years back.

Just have to note the 46 yard pass to CeeDee. He had his man beat by yards. Dak waaaaay underthrew the ball. CeeDee still came up with an amazing catch but that should have been an 85 yard TD. Instead, it was just 46 yards leading to a punt.

When you watch end zone cameras, you will frequently see receivers wide open. Dak is just either late or inaccurate with his throws closing the distance. Somewhere on here there was a video from last year showing Cooper getting wide open left and right and Dak just looking the other way.

Then obviously you have games where Dak is just hitting guys right in the numbers all game long. I have theories as to why there is so much variation but I don't know the answer for a fact. Dallas better figure it out.

Only CeeDee and Pollard would make the Eagles or Niners roster...
Yep I’m all for calling out Dak as his play is certainly worthy of being called out but his weapons are minimal

CeeDee and pollard and to lesser extent Schultz there are separation stats out there that confirm this

I have been good with drafting a qb now since Romo days in fact taking shots at qb every other year I could live with

We need cb in worst way and DT but man do we need a high level WR to compliment CeeDee

I was duped in thinking Gallup could do it but that injury has taken a lot from him

WE DON'T HAVE THE WEAPONS THAT TEAMS kill us with repeatedly every season!! No speed no agility no ability to break a big play can't run past anyone
Last year Dak has Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Schultz, Zeke, Pollard......so stop the BS excuses that Dak doesn't have offensive weapons as that is all it is: excuses.

Let's replace Dak we'll start winning playoff games. He's the only reason we're not playing the eagles AT HOME this week
I personally think it's a combo of Dak and Moore that's the problem. However We're stuck with dak for at least 2 more years with his contract. So i feel it's better to move away from moore and see if Dak can be "fixed". If Geno smith can be revived, there's hope for Dak lol.

I don't understand why this is so controversial. I think people love drama and create their own. It's simple, teams that have QBs on rookie contracts have an advantage. They can build a stronger roster than a team with a QB taking up 15% of the cap.

And the Bengals. The Chiefs are the only exception and they have Mahomes and arguably 1 of the best offensive coaches ever. The final 4 teams are there for a reason, they built the best rosters. And the sad part is that the Cowboys are probably 2-3 players away from that yet our “GM” refuses to use free agency in any kind of meaningful way to help the team

We had a Ferrari for an offense. We just had a blind man driving it.

There are elements in your statement I agree with but deck wasn’t the same without Cooper. Now what does that tell you I don’t know it tells different people different things

What if we didn’t spend $30 million on Zeke/Schultz/Gallup? What if they didn’t agree to that horrific restructure of DLaw? What if the front office had the balls to move on from Tyron when the whole world can see he’s broken down? People act like the $ isn’t there because of Dak’s contract…it is, it’s just been allocated poorly in ways that hamstring the team.

I honestly thing the style of KM and Dak does not mix well. Having the number one offense on paper(stats) is meaningless without context which goes for any stat.

Dak lacks the ability to hit recivers in stride consistently and does not process the defense well. This limits the play book greatly.

KM lacks the ability to establish and stick with the run game. Even when it's working he tends to slowly abandon it late game. Will resort to JG playbook at anytime.

Is KM calling all these curl / stick routes cause his QB can't hit slants consistently and reads the defense to slow? Or does he lack the ability to make adjustments.

We tend to start off the season playing great. Offense has lots of movement, gets up to the ball fast, plays fast, play action and etc. Dak plays great this way then we resort to JG stale generic offense for some reason.

Then we throw in reciver separation which is horrendous except Lamb. However the taps show otherwise and receivers getting open alot. Yell went speedy receivers but Dak can't even hit the slow ones in stride lol

I can't disagree. But the fact remains, if our QB had a good game instead of crapping the bed, we're going to the championship game despite everything you pointed out.

This may be out in left field, but it seems like our team panics in big situations. Just go back to when we played the Eagles at home and the end game mistakes that led to the Eagles almost coming back for the win. That was panic mode by both QB and coach. Now this loss to the 49ers.

I’m assuming OP thinks it’s still rookie Zeke in the backfield and not one legged Gallup, or off the street TY..but hey to each his own
