I am so happy for this guy to overcome the injury he had. It's like night and day how good he has gotten in such a short time. He is quite probably their best Dlineman right now. He penetrates, beats double teams, and is relentless. What a find. He's a life saver for a Dline they were so worried about. His play may end up letting the Cowboys pass on Melton's option.

Causing problems at DT.

Just needs some stats to back it up now

Thanks Mod's for correcting Tyrone spelling! I couldn't figure out how to edit the subject line.

Now if they would just make the trade to get Billy Winn from Cleveland.....It would be like getting the band back together:oldcouple:

I don't think it's even close...Crawford is easily our best D-Lineman. He needs to finish some plays, but if he was able to convert those sacks we would be talking about him as an All-Pro player right now.

Terrell McClain looked good also (in limited snaps).

Yeah, he did.

Will be interesting to see how the DL looks in about 6-8 wks. Nearly every guy is still learning their position and/or still recovering from injury.
The group and the rotations aren't close to 100% yet.

So, it's really encouraging how they've performed thus far, but I believe the best is yet to come (barring an injury plague).

Yes, this is T. McClain's 3rd game back from injury. He didn't look to good in his first game, looked much better in his second game but didn't play a lot of snaps and looked terrific in his 3rd game back. Also, I think he's exactly what Marinelli wants in his 4th DT which is a guy that can play the 1-tech or 3-tech position.

I used to say that Ware would have even more sacks if we could get consistent middle pressure (we got it with Rat but Ware always seemed to suffer when he would get injured because QBs could step up).

Now we need a little more edge pressure/contain. Crawford would have more sacks but QBs can get out of the pocket now. If Lawrence can set the edge consistently on pass downs, this defense will be better.

I agree about letting Melton walk. Let Crawford keep doing his thing and draft someone high to rotate in there with him.

WE NEED TO GET HOME AND GET SOME SACKS!!!! This Giants line is one of the worst Lines we'll play against and we didn't even really rush Manning.

Our D will only get better as we get quality guys like Lawrence and Brent back. If anything it will push the starters to get better. It's a good problem to have. Lavar Edwards was hustling out there yesterday. It's amazes me having no-names on D working to our advantage. Guys are hungry. Long gone are the days of Ratliff and others missing time with mystery injuries.
